Is the Kim Harrison witch series any good?

Dead Witch Walking
The Good, The Bad And The Undead
Every Which Way But Dead

Snazzy titles, but I'm wondering if the books are any good.

I'm thinking about picking a couple up from that Amazon sale, but I haven't read any of her work.

A friend had told me he had heard that the dialogue in Harrison's books were Buffyesque, so I put her in the back of my mind.

But since he hadn't read her either, he couldn't tell me if she was any good or not.

Thanks for the rec. Any book I should start with? Oh, Hamilton's not like Anne Rice, is she? Rice bores me to tears.

Some generally-related info in this thread and some no-holds barred comments specifically relating to Hamilton's oeuvre here.

Wow, no-holds barred is a damn near understatement.

I'll hit the library tonight and see what they got.

Thanks!

This site never ceases to amaze. I just picked these books up this weekend from the library and about to start on them. They looked to be mildly entertaining so I said what the hell. I put the LA Banks novels on hold as well. Anyword on those?
