Alibris.com

Has anyone here had a GOOD experience with this site? I've seen alibris.com blasted on resellerratings.com

I know that Borders uses them for ordering used and out of print books... The stuff varies wildly in quality, and doesn't always match up with their generalized descriptions; they also seem to be incredibly slow, at least when we have to order something in for a customer. I don't know about direct-to-customer service.

I've ordered stuff off their twice & both experiences were great. They're basically like Amazon's used stuff or Half.com with only books, it depends on the seller you're buying from. Never bought anything from the "seller" Alibris, only from independent sellers.

ordered once and had no problems

I ordered from them and had a good experience. Book was in great shape for a 5 year old hardback w/dustcover and I got it in 5 days.
