Off the top of my head, I'd offer: Stephen King's Bag of Bones. A pretty good ghost story that occurs at the summerhome of a writer who recently lost his wife. Great atmosphere if I remember correctly. I am a longtime King fan, so my perspective is a little weighted. Oh, it's about 700-800 pages. Enjoy your trip.

Stephen King's THE GIRL WHO LOVED TOM GORDON...oh, and anyone going to a lake should read his short story "The Raft" (found in the book SKELETON CREW).

Ok iv decided on two...

(Skeleton Crew)

amazon review-

I loved this book. The Mist was an excellent novella, the best in the book. the best short storie was probably the Jaunt, closely followed by, the ballad of the flexible bullet. I read it while camping and i had dreams causing me to get up and walk around the tent. Superlative.

(((just what im looking for)))

also Nightshift loogs good.....

ill start slow and see if my Brain will be kickstarted

Which is it then, BIG or NOT? You better follow Filmaker's advice, The Raft is an excellent choice . . . and it's SMALL too.
