Looking for book on history / politics etc of the World Trade Center's construction
I am looking for a book that describes the backroom deals and shenanigans that went on trying to get the wtc built.

The text of the OP's request talks about building - as opposed, say, to re-building on the site of the old WTC - so presumably this relates to something about the nature of the original construction/design.... and maybe to the local government patronage required to stop the complex going under financially when, at first, there was difficulty getting tenants.
Edit: I didn't find anything currently available on typing the architect's name into Amazon.com's search box. |

I found some interesting background information online. Maybe searching Amazon for biographies of any of the main players - or a history of the Port Authority - would yield more fruit. I did just read that there was a PBS documentary by Ken Burns that looked at the topic. |
