What author site's offer signed versions of their books?
I was checking out chuck palahinuk's site and they're offering a signed pre-copy of haunted and they have signed versions of his other books as well, do a lot of authors do this? Does anyone know of any other authors? Like irvine welsh?
I know kevin smith does too, even though he's not really a novelist.
thanks-

I'm not sure about author's websites, but Clarkesworld Books offers signed editions of some authors (sci fi, fantasy, horror), as well as other types of limited editions and pre-orders. Some big names (like Moorcock, King, Koontz, etc.). I'm not sure how often their selection changes on older stuff, but new books are constantly coming in.

If the book is still in print, most authors won't sell copies, since it would take away business from bookstores -- one group they don't want to alienate.
If the books are out of print, though, some people will sell them. Lawrence Block is one.

I've bought signed stuff from George R. R. Martin's website.
www.georgerrmartin.com
(But don't disturb him -- he's supposed to be busy writing the next Ice and Fire book.)
