Please identify this Raymond Chandler story

I just read the Raymond Chandler Omnibus, which is comprised of: The Big Sleep; Farewell, My Lovely; The High Window; and The Lady in the Lake. It didn't have this scene:

Marlowe is patted down and his gun taken by a tough guy for the third time in the story. He comments that he doesn't know why he even carries one.

Is it in The Long Goobye? It's been so long since I've read it... was always my favorite Chandler, though.

That might be it. The title sounds familliar. I read a bunch of Chandler novels all at once about 20 years ago, and I can't really tell. Does anyone else have an idea?
