I just got back from the San Jose store. I was hoping to get my book signed, but when I got there they told me that they handed out their last wristband at 4:30 AM! I was sure I'd be able to get in since I showed up 6 hours before the signing (which I thought was early). Guess not. Apparently they had over 1000 people camp out overnight.

I was pretty bumbed out. I really wanted to meet him.

I didn't make it. People (the ones I saw on TV were from Portland, actually) were lined up at 9:00 PM the night before, and only the first 1500 were getting in.

I was told that Clinton would be speaking at the Democratic National Convention in Boston, so maybe he'll make an appearance at one of the bookstores in Boston. If he does, I'll be there with bells on.

he'll be at the downtown dc barnes & noble on wed. if anyone is interested...signing at 4:30pm (i suggest getting there EARLY!!!!)

get there early, wristbands get handed out at 8am but only about 1000 will get a signed copy. plus it's not a number system so you can't leave and come back to your same spot in line.

Got 2 copies signed in Miami yesterday. Also was interviewed by CBS, AP, Miami Herald (which has my mother & I in the article). Travelled 190 miles for it. I paid on ebay $150 for one book/voucher & $122.50 for the other since they had sold out the first day. I got let in because of the extreme heat several hours early (I'm a quadriplegic). Got 2 beautiful signatures as I was about 20th in line. One to keep forever & one to sell to get my money back. I really wanted to meet him to get it as I think he's the greatest & half (or more) of the ones on ebay are phony.

My wife, our 6 month old son, & my mother-in-law waited in line from 10:30 p.m. Friday night (30th) for the 2:00 p.m. signing in Fayetteville today. The early line up paid off since we were ushered inside the Wal-Mart at about 10 a.m. where it was air-conditioned and they had chairs set up.

He started signing on time and we were done by 2:20 p.m. (we were 58th-61st in line). A long wait for a short amount of time with him...probably 5 seconds.

They handed out wrist-bands for the first 1000 but over 3000 showed up. Apparently he signed for everyone in line the day before in Little Rock. Not sure how long he stayed in Fayetteville as we left right after we got done.

Rare opportunity to meet a former President and get him to sign hsi book. Well worth it.
