TED BUNDY - Which would be the best book to pick up?
I've never read up on Ted Bundy, but I'm well aware of him and his crimes (I've seen the Made-For-TV mini-series with Mark Harmon), and I wanted to know which book would be the best as a first read?
Barnes & Nobles has too many to choose from (http://search.barnesandnoble.com/boo...DO&cds2Pid=946) |
I've only read "The Stranger Beside Me" by Ann Rule, but I'd highly recommend it.

Isn't The Stranger Beside Me the basis for the mini-series?

Confessions of a Shoe Salesman would be a good place to start...
...oh, TED Bundy. Sorry. |

I had a sociology class @ UW that was co-taught by Keppel, who helped write The Riverman. He was actually part of the investigative team who helped track the Green River Killer down, with Bundy's help. Anyway, we read The Riverman for class, and it's pretty good. Remember that it focuses not as much on Bundy's crimes as on relating his experience to those of the (as-yet uncaught at the time of writing) Green River Killer. Haven't read any of those others, though.

Both Stranger Beside Me and The Riverman are very good books, but if you are only intersested in the acutual Bundy case, go with Stranger Beside Me.
