Picked this book up today, saw it on the shelf read the back and it "had" me ;)

Anyway, its a serious of Essays and what-not from various scientists, doctors, ect.. Each one looking at the Matrix and how is relates to Science, Philosophy, and Religion.

I'm only like 25 pages in, but already I'm amazed at what I'm reading. So f'n cool, I just had to share.

Great for the casual or compulsive fan of The Matrix.

Gibson's cyberspace is worth considering but in his works people are usually aware of the distinction between it and Real Life: one of the repeated questions of Philip K Dick's works was "what is real: what is human?". An idea similar to that of being asleep and dreaming that you were awake several times crops up in his writings. It should be noted that it is a philosophical point (Buddhist?) that has been around for a very long time.

not sure, i doubt it. however i took a gander at http://www.whatisthematrix.com and found no essays. perhaps a different site, but navigating that site is hard so I might have missed them.

either way, this book is a great read. i recommend it.

If you click the middle button in the 3rd column of the "Mainframe" window it takes you to Philosophy and The Matrix and has essays.
