Bring on the smart remarks, that why I posted this!
Despite the controversy surrounding its subject, a children's book based on R. Kelly's life will be reissued on March 1. Publisher Unique Expressions plans to re-release the children's story, "I Can Fly! (The R. Kelly Story)," based on Kelly's rags-to-riches life.
Kelly, whose first name is Robert, was indicted in June by a Cook County, Ill., grand jury on 21 counts of child pornography stemming from a videotape authorities say shows him having sex with a 13-year-old girl. Kelly has said he is not the man on the tape.
Unique Expressions president Kim L. Dulaney, who also wrote the book, said they've decided to reissue the book because of public demand. The book was initially pulled from distribution in early 2002. Dulaney says they were concerned about the controversy surrounding Kelly, but added, "Our commitment is to uplift readers, especially women and children."
"Due to the encouraging nature of 'I Can Fly!' we feel that the book falls right in line with our mission to inspire readers to dream, work hard, and overcome any obstacles that try to keep them from their goals," Dulaney said.
As previously reported over in MUSIC TALK, Kelly's next Jive album, "Chocolate Factory," is due Jan. 28. The 14-track set will come bundled with a six-track bonus CD, featuring cuts that have been lifted from Kelly's heavily bootlegged but as-yet officially unreleased album "Love Land."

At a book signing
R. Kelly: "hey there little girl, what name do you want?"
Little girl: "Cindy"
RK: "That's a nice name and you're a nice girl. Say how about we trade autographs? And since I'm giving you this big book with my autograph, you give me your phone number with your autograph. Fair?"

A borderline pedophile has his own children's book now, eh?
Wow...I'm speechless. Maybe he'll get a few like-minded pederasts to do the illustrations...the whole family'll enjoy it.
