Please help with gift idea.
My mom really likes non-fiction books about life in asian countries especially stories about the life of Chinese Women and how they are oppressed. Any suggestions on other titles and cheapest place to find them? Thanks for the help. She really liked

Although I've not read it, Wild Swans by Jung Chang is said to be based on real life:

Did a bit of a cheat really. Looked up wild swans on Amazon.co.uk and used their 'Customers who bought books by Adeline Yen Mah also bought books by these authors:' link. Then fine-tuned the list and suggestions of other authors look like....

It's a bit out of left field, but China Mountain Zhang might relate to many of the themes she is interested in. It's literary speculative fiction ... ah, hell, read the Amazon review and decide for yourself.
