Anyone out there recommend a book on Queen Elizabeth I?
I'm just in the process of finishing "Elizabeth: The Struggle for the Throne" by David Starkey and really enjoyed it. It seems to be ending very early in the time that she came to power and I'd love to read more on her reign. Can someone recommend another book about her in a similar vein to this one? (Historical but well written with the odd little anecdotes...
Thanks.
Jeff

I hate seeing "orphan" threads like this and feel the need to reply even when I can't provide the personal recommendation that was requested!
- The Virgin Queen: Elizabeth I, Genius of the Golden Age
Author: Christopher Hibbert
A masterful biography of perhaps the greatest monarch in history. A genius, beauty, manipulator, and leader, Elizabeth I has fascinated history buffs, anglophiles, and feminists for centuries. - Elizabeth I, CEO: Strategic Lessons from the Leader Who Built an Empire
Author: Alan Axelrod
You not only see Elizabeth I as the woman who turned around the fortunes of a nation, but also how to apply many of her traits and practices to your own business life. This book provides a blueprint for corporate survival, personal image building, staff development, and ultimately success. - Two Queens in One Isle: The Deadly Relationship of Elizabeth I & Mary Queen of Scots
Author: Alison Plowden
This book documents and explains the complicated relationship of Elizabeth I and Mary Queen of Scots. Reads like a novel. An excellent book.
