Just finished reading Band of Brothers

This is a book that brought history alive for me. I don't have HBO, so I won't see the series until it hits DVD. Anyone else read this book? How does it compare to the series? Personally, I think the book is historically important. Ambrose actually interviewed surviving members of Easy company, so it's an accurate depiction of the events as they happened. It really opened my eyes to the fact that these were real people who experienced real horrors during the war, And that's an important realization for anyone.
