I would like to see Good Omens by Terry Pratchett. I think that would be interesting.

Obscure, I know, but Gore Vidal's "Empire." I am a student of U.S. history, and if properly cast and produced, a film of this book might help educate an otherwise ignorant American public about their country's imperialist past and how it helped shape what has laughingly been called our 'foreign policy' of the last 100 years.

I think it would be something if HBO got it's hands on "House of Leaves" and made it a big budget epic miniseries!

Unfilmable, perhaps, but it would be awesome if done right!

It would be a real challenge to top the original with Burgess Meredith and Lon Chaney Jr. They nailed both the spirit and the action of the book nicely; if only someone could do that with Cannery Row. The Nick Nolte/Debra Winger version was an utter failure.

Northline or The Motel Life by Willy Vlautin

Edit -> These are both being made into films. Wow.

When I read Gun Work I kept thinking, "damn, this would make a great action/revenge B-movie".
