I'm halfway through Motherless Brooklyn by Jonathan Lethem, and I'm enjoying it very much.
The story is a refreshing change from the typical whodunit.
Lethem definetely has a way with words, and the inclusion of his main character's bout with Touretts is often funny, yet seemingly real.
Was wondering if there are any other books that some of you might recommend based on my enjoyment of Motherless Brooklyn.
How are Lethem's other books? Comparable?

If you liked the writing style, then you would like Lethem's other titles.
If you like the sheer "off-beatness" of the story, you might try Patrick O'Leary's Door Number Three.
Also check out Jerry Jay Carroll and James Morrow.
