This annual event celebrates its 39th year and has become the world's largest used book sale. One-half million books are spread over 32,000 square feet of shopping center, and these are thumbed through by more than 1700 people on opening day alone. The North Shore Chapter of the Brandeis University National Women's Committee sponsors the sale and donates the proceeds to the school's libraries.
June 9 - 17 (Opening Sat 6-10 pm ($donation 1st night only), Sun 10-10, Mon-Thu 11-9, Fri 11-5; second weekend: Sat 6-10 pm, Sun 10-5)

Saw this 3 hours ago, ran down to Skokie and got a boatload of books. Well, a dozen anyway. There were tons of books around- and they were putting more up as I was there. I'm definintely going to check again on Wednesday.
Most of the stuff would have been there on Sunday for 50 cents, but I won't be here.
