They can force Martin to get off his ass and get cracking?

If the show starts screening Fall '10 (likely), by the time we get to Season/Book 5 it's Fall '14. Which gives Martin, what, 7 years to get the next 3 books out to stay current with the series.

They could always pad seasons out to accomodate this as well...

Same exact thing happened to me. I discovered the series about 6 years ago and read the first 3 within maybe 2 months. By the time the 4th came out I completely forgot what most of the characters were doing. I still haven't finished it...

Roy Dotrice, and he did a great job with them.

Peter Dinklage is exactly who I thought would play Tyrion, and a great choice since he's a really good actor.

Yup, you couldn't ask for better casting news than that.

From the second I heard martin on his blog mention that he was looking for Tyron I knew that that actor should play him.

And I thought Roy Dotrice SUCKED reading the books.
He was constantly out of breath, and the childrens voices sounded like retarded people with a head cold.

I guess the Harry Potter audiobooks ruined it for me

I thought Roy Dotrice was great. The 4th was read by someone else.
