I'm reading Flannery O'Connor's "Good Country People" (short story) right now, but only because I have to for a final tomorrow. I'm ready for school to be out so I can read some stuff I actually want to read.

Kelric 05-03-01 06:50 AM

American Gods by Neil Gaiman.... and many many textbooks.

Geoff H 05-03-01 12:55 PM

Just finished reading Grisham's The Testament, which I found to be somewhat shallow, but still quite entertaining.

Just started King's The Shining... strange that I haven't read it yet, considering I've read most of his other works.

Pointyskull 05-03-01 12:58 PM

just finished Stephen King's "Dreamcatcher"
just started Charles Wilson's "Nightwatcher"

on deck:
John Marr's "Eleventh Plague"

I just finished reading Silverthorn by Raymond Feist. I am about to start A darkness at Sethanon (the next book in the series).

Also, I am currently reading The Theory of Poker by David Sklansky but I'll be reading both as soon as I can get to a book store.

pardon my ignorance, but where has the book (already) been released?

as far as I can see both amazon.com and amazon.co.uk still list this title as an upcoming release.

No, its not out yet. I got an advanced readers copy of it. It will be out June 19th. If you are a Neil Gaiman fan (or even if you're not) run out and buy it then! I just finished it last night. Definately his best novel to date.

I will certainly get it when it is released...

I'd only just noticed that a new Terry Pratchett book had been released ("Thief of Time") and I was just worried that it might likewise have already been released, and that I was thus behind the times :)

I've just got my hands on a "uncorrected book proof" of this book, so I'm a very happy camper :)

I wasn't sure whether or not I was going to like it by the time I got to page 42, but now, 100 pages on, I'm engrossed in the story.

wlcohen 05-15-01 08:07 AM

Meatpants 05-21-01 09:48 AM

OK, I never do this, but I am giving up on Naked Lunch. Can anyone explain why this is anymore than a literary curiousity?

On to Shampoo Planet by Doug Copeland.
