re: Vinegar Syndrome - Subscriber Week Sale

I had six in my cart and ultimately decided to remove Master Of The World after watching the trailer and reading reviews. Also removed Blood On Her Name because it’s on Prime and the BD had no real bonus features.
I stuck with Shallow Grave, Amityville Dollhouse, Zombie Island Massacre and the AFGA double feature.
I’m guessing I’ll regret the last two.

Snagged:

Shallow Grave
Flesh and Fantasy
Fade to Black

I broke down and got Deathrow Gameshow and Shallow Grave.

I swear I'm trying not to buy and cut back but sales like this make it...difficult.

Just watched Blood On Her Name. It was a decent little thriller. Kinda reminds me of Blue Ruin in a way.
I’d recommend it.

Shit. I'm a sucker for a good thriller. Might have to bite on it.

ETA: OK. pulled the trigger on it. 10 bucks. I spent more than that on tacos today (but they were good tacos).

I knew TC 2000 would end up as an offering.

Considering Steel and Lace and maybe Blades...

Literally both of those are sitting in my to watch pile :/

I haven’t seen Blades for 20+ years but I recall liking it quite a bit.

TC 2000 will likely sell out. It's moved hundreds of copies already.

I saw Blades for the first time during the horror challenge and thought it was pretty fun.

Steel and Lace is a great buy for $10. I bought it during the BF sale.

Another 3 titles today:

TC 2000
Star Virgin
Game Show Models

TC 2000 is selling crazy fast. It looks like a total piece of shit, but a VSA for $10? I couldn’t pass it up.
Also grabbed Steel & Lace, Shot & Amityville About Time

Now people can enjoy the Cinema Du Blanks for something approaching what it's actually worth. And even then, well . . .

Bought GAME SHOW MODELS years ago (and yes, I know it's a DVD) -- although I may have paid less than $10 in a VS sale -- and finally watched it late last year. Not necessarily a keeper, but better than I expected, and not really what the artwork implies, at least in its original version. Two versions on the disc, too: the navel-gazey "free lovin' writer dude discovers the evils of the corporate system" original, and a later version spiced up with schlocky, Sam Sherman-mandated sex and nude scenes. Nice theme song by Harriet Schock; happened to mention a bit about the movie on one of her performance videos of the song on YouTube, and she responded that a documentary about her is being made using the song's title 'Hollywood Town' (presumably some indie thing). The director's commentary is quite good too, especially as this was his only feature before doing decades worth of industrial and educational shorts, and also because he was willingly involved in the reshoots.

Oof.. considering Steel and Lace and Star Virgin. I'll think about it over the course of the day. There's still a few titles I've been iffy on over the years (Body Melt, Red Mob) that I'd snap up if they make an appearance in the final 30 remaining.

Sorry, I took a look at TC 2000 on youtube and it was far too cheesy for me to buy. I might consider Steel and Lace though.

TC 2000 (1993) sold out as I had it in my cart and I completely forgot to purchase Blood On Her Name (2019) :(

At least there are a few more days worth of 10 for $10 deals.

I'm surprised that copies of Steel and Lace (1991) are still available at $10. Love that film.

OK, I'm gonna take all y'all's word for Steel and Lace. I suspect it may violate my "sleaze not cheese" rule, but it's just $10.

Amusing that the fourth Amityville from that box set isn’t included after the other three were the previous days.
Nothing for me today it seems since I already own Creature.

How is Disconnected?

Maybe I'll pick up Tragedy Girls.

The Naughty Victorians is also on the site for $10.

I snagged that one and:

Disconnected
Creature
Killer's Delight
Tragedy Girls

Oh. I'll get The Naughty Victorians then. Other than that, it's a pass for today. It'll be interesting to see which of my fears is realized: one is that there will be a deluge of must-have titles the last couple of days and I'll still end up dropping over $100, or the opposite in that there won't be anything else that interests me and I'll end up kicking myself over not buying some of the "maybes" earlier on this week

Creature is a recommend for anyone who likes cheesy 80s sci-fi. Also a fun commentary track. I am surprised this is in their 10 for 10 aside from the crappy slip art I thought this was one of their more solid releases.

One of my favorite alien knock offs, and for fans of American Dad it has the actress that plays Francine.

re: Vinegar Syndrome - Subscriber Week Sale

Picked up Disconnect and Tragedy Girls. Will probably show some restraint and avoid Creature, maybe.

Tragedy Girls is close to selling out, only 187 left at the time of this posting.
