Amazon Prime Day 2021 June 21 & 22

Time to start complaining there are no great deals on media.

Or anything else not branded Amazon specific.,

I guess I'll pick up a couple Gift Cards with Bonus Cash again for the 5th/6th year in a row of getting nothing else.

It's the biggest non-event of the year!

Dammit, I don't see anything good!?!? FAIL.

As usual, I'll probably pick up non-movie type stuff more than anything else. They'll probably have some kind of Buy 2, Get one Free type of sale for this, with a handful of 4K and Blu sets thrown in during the Lightning Deals.

Just an FYI, this Amazon Assistant is only available on Android devices.

And Windows PC's -- unless the fine print says it's only a Mobile Assistant offer/

I can't find the fine print so that may indicate something

Yeah I have it on Chrome on Win10, and when I tested the link it's available on Edge too.

This assistant thing just hangs for me. I'm not even sure how to tell if it's working.

I f'd up on that one. The offer is only valid on MAILED gift cards. I ordered a digital card; then read emailed cards don't qualify.............

I also ordered a non-physical gift card. The offer literally has links to digital (emailed or printed) cards. Which seems very bait and switch to me if it is only physical.

I purchased the middle one (printed) shown below. If they decline my offer, I will be making a major complaint as it was literally a click through from the offer.

There will be five circles, each with a corresponding number. Each day you visit, another circle changes color. It also reminds you how many days you have left.

The assistant will pop-up showing if Amazon has an item you are browsing. Sometimes handy, sometimes a pain. It's also a quick way to check your account orders and such.

Works for Edge on Mac OS.

5 Circles where? I appear to have it running and have clicked on it several times. So far I haven't seen any indication of a countdown or reminder or count up

On the other Gift Card -- I bought a std EGC on my account and got the confirmation of the $10 Bonus (will be added in a day or two) this morning.

I also bought a 2nd Card on my wife's account -- PrintAtHome type. Technically it's her Prime Acct since I switched to her name years ago when she had a Kindle. I haven't heard of anything it registering for it yet, but I did see the PROMO OFFER at check out and it's always worked in the past.

Are you using it in a browser? I just click the "A" in my Extensions and it drops down with this:

I 'think' the Amazon Assistant $10 credit is only for the main prime account member. I have the count-up on my Amazon Assistant, but my wife does not have it on hers.

Not on my Assistant page/dropdown on either PC or Phone. I get the top line ADD to List/Orders/ Deals and below that I get items/suggestions, etc
I've signed in and out of my Amazon page and specifically the Assistant several times and no change. I've installed and uninstalled the extension/app as well

I'll assume the "A" in the extension is a small Amazon Logo "a" -- or else something else is different

Not on mine (tagalong) or Wife's (Main Prime)
I was wondering yesterday if it's a targeted offer only for certain users. I'm almost certain it's a limited use offer now.

The other possibility -- I've still on Original Grandfathered Prime and not the new Version. Actually the grandfathering might be the only reason I still have Prime at all
since I added both my kids to it years ago when they were in College so they technically still have Independent Prime Shipping Privileges (and shopping/payment responsibility) on our account

Have you ever received a Benefit from usign the Assistant in the past? I know I got a $5 or 10 reward ??years ago when it first came out

I might be interested in a new Kindle Paperwhite. Assume they'll have Kindles on sale for a decent price; wouldn't mind getting a 32GB so I can keep my collection of .pdf magazines on it.

I was thinking about getting a blue one, but they kind of look like a kids' toy.

Wish they'd make these in more grown-up colors like espresso brown or pewter.

Have you found an app that makes pdf's formatting readable in Kindles? Calibre doesn't do the job, & they look awful in my 2019 paperwhite if I just dl it to the Kindle.

Not a big fan of reading on tablets vs actual paper, but phone vs Ipad vs dedicated e-reader is night and day in favor of the dedicated reader.
It's the difference between a massive headache after about an half-hour vs no eye strain at all.

Even though that is what the fine print states (pretty clearly once I bothered to read it), I got the $10 email today. Apparently the $10 doesn't show up until your first order, at which time it's supposed to be deducted. Hope it works, the 20% discount is why I bought the gift card for myself.

I as well received my credit. I have yet to add the GC itself to my account. I will do that tomorrow.
