Re: BLACK FRIDAY/HOLIDAY - 2020 Haul Thread

This may be the first time in a long time that I don’t buy any physical media on Black Friday. Just not much grabbing my attention. The couple things I wanted were at Best Buy and both are no longer in-stock.

Not as much as usual. Not as many titles that I want..

Amazon

Bill & Ted Face the Music
21 Bridges
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood

That's it.

I think due to COVID, lack of space and also stores lack of inventory, I don't think I will be buying much of anything this year.
My local bestbuy had two small racks for ALL the DVD/BD in the store! Two! They've really shrunk available floorspace for movies. Now, there is nowhere near me where I can count on getting physical media anymore.

Re: BLACK FRIDAY/HOLIDAY - 2020 Haul Thread

By far probably my smallest Black Friday haul for as long as I’ve gone out on Black Friday. I didn’t go out at all Friday or Saturday.

Went out earlier today to get a few things at Walmart and Target. Didn’t even look at anything media related in Target, but found one game at Walmart. I don’t think I’ll add anything else to my haul.

Best Buy:
The Equalizer (4K Steelbook)
The Equalizer 2 (4K Steelbook)

Walmart:
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 (Xbox One)

The Bam! Box:
Horror Fire Sale Box (double autograph)

Also got a couple gifts for my girlfriend and mom too as part of Black Friday sales.

Once again, the deals BEFORE Black Friday were better than the deals on/after Black Friday. I've learned to pull the trigger early and got some good deals this year (including a new laptop). Glad I didn't wait.

Largely agree - there's little point waiting anymore for Black Friday with a few small exceptions.

Re: BLACK FRIDAY/HOLIDAY - 2020 Haul Thread

I can only guess places not sure which ones are shrinking their media areas as stuff start going to stream and so media is not stocked as much as before. or they dont print as many copies as before. i may be wrong but it is like u gotta grab before it gone so to spreak or u may not get a copy to keep ahead of anyone else if it sells out at store or online anywhere then u stuck go to a thrift place or pawn shop to score any still watchable copies anytime. not sure how far in future but wonder if may be less media to hold then there is now or am i talking crazy talk any? i mean even before black friday i was snagging any stuff cheap as possible before the event even came around during this pandemic crap. so have realized if want it bad to snag it or gonna have to wait longer for any copy.
