Should be a list in the OP breaking down the release dates, but

July 14
-- The Lady Eve
-- Bruce Lee

July 21
-- Marriage Story
-- Taste of Cherry

This week - none

I never did check with a ShiptoHome is any of the August or Sept releases might be discounted, but the last 2-3 sales they appeared to have closed that loophole.

I'm losing faith that Target will actually get my War Of The Worlds to me.
They keep pushing the delivery back and it's ripe to be cancelled from them as it's identified as sold out online.

Just to be safe, and 'cause I was looking forward to watching it soon, I ordered a copy from a local B&N and will pick it up tomorrow.
It's $3 more here, so I'd still like to see the one I ordered from Target show up in the next week or so so I can return this one, but that may not be a choice

Went to the B&N a couple towns over and picked up War Of The Worlds and Marriage Story yesterday.
Last (only?) copies they had of each, and that are available in a more than 100 mile radius of where I am.

Three hours later I got the email that Target had shipped WotW.
Of course.

Very disappointed with B&N unable to keep in stock for on-line purchasing many popular titles. Tonight I'll be ordering them at Amazon since they dropped their prices close to B&N's . Weird how the B& N sale will benefit Amazon, at least with me

Felt the same, BUT a friendly CSR at my local store said that from what she has heard, they wonít be restocking
many things as anticipating B & N filing for Probable bankruptcy may be imminent!

Disappointing, but not a surprise at all.

I'm honestly grateful that this sale still went forward with all things considering. I was able to find 98% of what I was on the lookout for during the sale.

They could have easily called it off and watched everyone's heads explode.

I would hate to see B&N go bankrupt and close up shop. I hope those of us that have renewed our memberships in the past few months will get some of that back if this is the case. I don’t see how you can justify the charge for 12 months of a membership if you only get to use it for a few months. In the end, I want B&N to stay open.

Do any of you regularly shop at Barnes and Noble? Or do you just go there for Criterions?

Of course I do and the Criterion Sale hasn't even been my major sale for Movies the last couple years. The Arrow Sales I've been fairly active with, the Cohen Sale last November I went
overboard since those virtually never go on sale at all, the British TV 50-60% sales

I've been able to do a large amt witht he 40% sales for items that rarely hit even 30% off. I normally also buy several hundred dollars in books from them -- either my wife buys a lot of their childrens books fro her
church and their Playschool or Christmas store and I'll buy from the 40% off New Release Bestseller often

Not for books, they have Magic the Gathering cards and you can use the coupons for those.

One B&N near me reduced the size of their video department when they reopened to reflect reduced inventory. Two others didn't reduce the department size but still reduced video stock and so had a lot of empty spaces. Some of it filled with an almost endless supply of Funko Pops .As for Criterions they had some copies of the newest releases like "The Lady Eve" and "Marriage Story" they didn't seem to be restocking previous releases. The store nearest me did not appear to add any Criterion stock other than new releases since they reopened..
On cookie side of the business, the usual buy one get one free cookie sale is currently buy one get one 50% off. On the book side of the business while the NY Times best seller books have always been 30% off or 40% off for members, Mary Trump's book is not including in this sale though it has been number 1 on the New York Times non fiction list for the last two weeks.

I love to get ice coffee there in the summer and a flat bread pizza. And regular coffee and flatbread pizza the rest of the year. So we spend money on the cafe there regularly. Not sure if they have resumed full food service yet though.
