Yikes on that shipping increase by SAE. So glad I made only the one large order (which has shipped) last week.

And an update on a 3rd order - am now one title out from each of 3 pending orders, without knowing what those titles are. At this point I give up, any other updates on these lines will no longer be a surprise or disappointment:

from their communication, you won't know what you won't get until you get it 😉

For those who got cancellation/refund emails -- was there not a 2nd email telling you which item was cancelled. I know a lot of people got dual emails telling them which item was dropped.

Two separate emails from last night regarding partial refunds made on 5/20. 'Beat the Devil' and 'Tom Sawyer/Huckleberry Finn' are two titles from two of my orders that won't be delivered. No update on the $6.95 title from a third order that was refunded on 5/19. If anyone ordered these AFTER 5/10 or 5/11 and got them, please post a message. The discussion promises to get more animated if that happens (but to no avail)

Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95

On a slightly different note, many of these TT titles are currently streaming on Prime Video. Watched 'Eye of the Needle' and was glad didn't order the disc. Watching '10 Rillington Place' today. Movie experiences being subjective as always, this is a good 'try before you buy' option just in case people are planning or are already spending at SAE owing to OOS at TT

Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95

After reading this thread over at bluray.com, its clear that its just as I feared. Order fulfillment is being prioritized on size of order, not by order date. Way to go, TT - screwing your last minute customers for a swansong. It does make business sense though cos smaller orders are spending more on shipping which is pure profit. And there's no fear of blowback as its a final sale.

Now am going by the notion that they are finding these title shortages as they are picking for order fulfillment, which could provide some assurance that the remaining titles on the order will be fulfilled (because no more cancellation notices have been sent and there's a line in the 2nd cancellation email that says 'The rest of your order will ship when ready'). But if they are running some automated checks instead before order fulfillment, chances are like COVID19, there could be a second wave of cancellations when they go picking for the larger orders while continuing to fulfill smaller sized orders.

No 2nd email here.I had to check my order history on TT site to see what was canceled.
Order #710XX on May 10th .22 items ordered and 3 have gotten canceled.

Kind of a bull shit move they are
fulfilling smaller orders first.but like it has been posted they are going out of business.
But I'm also glad they put out so many movies on disc, that might not have ever happened if it wasn't for Twlight Time.
But truth is if a lot of these movies were not on sale I would not have bought most of movies I have from them in past few sales.

I'll have check out eBay and see what scalpers I mean sellers are asking price.

The 3 movies canceled from my order are going for around $30 on fleabay. I'll never pay over $15 for any TT movie.
Some crazy nut is asking a grand (yes $1000) for a single TT movie.

As long as they're packing order in the sequence they arrived, I'm less concerned over the order they ship those boxes

Which titles were cancelled?

Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95

I hope that is the case.Maybe because they had so many orders from this last sale, they are shipping as many small orders as they can first.I'm just guessing.
I just hope nothing else goes out of stock on my order and others.
My 2nd to last order got to me in about 3 days and it had to go coast to coast.

All blind buys

Another Woman
Inferno
Gun Fury

Mixed bag -- Another Woman still at SAE

Inferno 3D -- has a region free UK edition with apparently similar if not same transfer as the TT, but with less extras. There is apparently a 2nd item from teh same company which is supposed to be B locked, but almost everyone has
been able to play it with minimal effort

Gun Fury -- no other releases though the TT did have an audio issue that some/many/most people got a synch error fro teh 2nd half of the film. Some people say they couldn't hear a problem so not sure if is was so borderline that some just didn't hear
it or if their equipment was able to correct it. A lot of speculation that one of the UK companies will eventually release this one.

Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95

I've gotten a couple of email notices about the shipping process being slow but nothing about canceling. Meanwhile, my order from Screen Archives arrived quickly and was ordered a day later than TT. I was scooping up the sold out titles I wanted from TT that SAE still had in stock. I wish I had just ordered everything from SAE even if it was a dollar or two more per title. Oh, well.

Difference between filling 100 orders and 8000

In your user settings you can select which services you want results from. You probably just have those unchecked. I know for sure kanopy is on there because that's where I learned that kanopy was even a thing since my library doesn't offer it. I get mad everytime I see the logo because I can't access it.

I'll tweak those settings. I have access to Kanopy and Hoopla, but I have a giant library network and like 5-6 library cards to a bunch of systems.
