TT did put in a bulk order discount for orders over $500 which could appeal to these sellers.

Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95

Placed an order of 10/$115 plus several $6.95 titles. Had two $11.50 titles in my cart go OOS (RAPID FIRE and UNDERWORLD USA) while I procrastinated, so had to substitute and will get those two at SAE (soon, I suppose) at their higher price. Some of the $6.95 discs were admittedly duplicates of stuff I bought ages ago, but the (eventual) resale up here will help offset the cost whatever I end up keeping.

Just placed a second 10/$115 order (both orders contained THREE COINS to get the discount) of what I suspect are titles less likely to sell out right away, but just wanted to be safe after all the news of items suddenly running out.

I could easily place a third order but might hold off in hopes that they’ll suddenly have another “one time reduction” as time goes on. That would not be out of the ordinary for them.

Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95

Put in a second order for Twilight Time titles but over at SAE, as they had a few titles that went OOS.

Ordered:

Rapid Fire
Strange Invaders
Rollerball

Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95

I'm not entirely sure how to go about continuing this thread since the SAE and TT Sale no longer overlap, but here's the Monday update realizing is now messier and harder to keep track now that the Bulk Buyers/Resellers appear to be involved. Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95

Man, I'd be surprised if they have much in stock by the end of the week, let alone the end of the month! I'm certainly glad that SAE still seems to have the vast majority of extant titles still available, but I do wonder if they'll be less inclined to do any more sales after the current one because they know they'll be sitting on the last "official" stock pretty much anywhere in the world (outside of resellers, of course). I don't think I want to procrastinate there.

Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95

Surely, SAE will liquidate TT inventory too as it would be contractually obligated if TT is winding up - with an all sales final policy. Certainly a question of when not if. The thing that one needs to pay more attention to again is the resellers. As TT closes inventory (as we're seeing now), resellers could pre-empt customers by already gobbling up TT at SAE making any of us sitting out for a SAE sale, regret it.

Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95

I've seen this happen before in another limited media market I won't name. The limited supply was bought almost entirely by one reseller, who then carefully controlled the available supply of remaining discs on the market. They would only auction one copy every other week, which resulted in copies going for far more than if a normal market existed. Shady business practice but perfectly legal.

Most Twilight Time discs will never see the light of day again on physical media. I just wish some label would reissue The Egyptian.

Possibly, but SAE and TT never really competed directly. They mostly ran the same exact sales and for the most part had the same prices. Other than stock issues they acted more like 2 subsets of the same store.

SAE may not NEED/Have to run a sale, but if they have 40000-80000 units sitting unsold I'm not sure that seem a good idea. I've always though SAE and TT split most inventory and mostly used it as their own exclusive stock rather than sharing a Pool of items, but possibly I am mistaken how they divided the merchandise.

I just finished some of my number updates. Either Friday or Sat (if you believe TT website cart numbers) TT had approx 78000 units of just Twilight Time Discs of 170 titles
4pm ET today 41000 units of 110 titles.

It also appears GUN FURY 3D just SOLD out at SAE

Thus my suggestion about not procrastinating either way with titles at SAE, and the potential unlikelihood of another sale after this one. There may no longer be a need if prices simply stay put.

Caved in with pure desperation - ordered another 24 all Fox titles from TT. Can't even look at SAE's site as the wallet can't take it. Home and Auto insurance policy renewals are competing for the cash, need my home to watch those movies

I feel this. I could easily put together another 10/$115 deal (or two) with an extra THREE COINS for resale later. And every time you post, I see another 'possibility' disappear – in this case MURPHY'S LAW, although I can live without it.

I'm already hovering over a 5-piece order of titles that went OOS at Twilight Time in the last day or so, and I know it's only a matter of time before they vanish there, too.

Decisions, decisions . . .

If it's for personal consumption, you can easily live without 'Murphy's Law' - one of the absolute worst in Bronson's canon. Being a completist could be the compulsion.

At SAE, I loaded up my cart just in case a flash sale goes on. And most of the Woody Allen's to a wish list although this may not pan out

That's pretty much it. I do have a soft spot for his Cannon pictures, but its definitely a lesser entry. I've mainly been curious to listen to the commentary on that one. I thought Kathleen Wilhoite's character was amusing, at least for a Bronson film, and it was intriguing that she agreed to participate. I could probably flip it after that.

Hoping SAE does a flash sale, too – cart's ready to go – but knowing my luck work will get in the way and I'll find out about it several hours after it starts when half my picks are gone.

Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95

SAE LOW STOCK so this is the last batch
To Sir With Love -- just hit 47 Since I haven't found their cart numbers reliable at all, this should be taken as get it now and don't wait at all.

The last several items that have hit the <50 have gone within hours and some of them minutes. I'm not sure if 50 isn't 50 or some bot is programmed to sit on those numbers and immediately buy the last 50 copies.

Judging from the TT numbers there still seem to be massive stock runs sporadically -- 30-40-50 copies disappear in minutes. I thought this might settle after the first 24 hrs, but more than half the titles that TT started teh weekend with are
cleaned out and at least another 20 will likely disappear by noon.

There are some guilty flicks in the Cannon fodder like 'Ten to Midnight' or 'Kinjite' but JLThompson's and Bronson's collaborations went totally south with very little redemptive value on each successive release and for me 'Murphy's Law' belongs in that latter kind. A few years ago, I splurged on every mediabook version I could find on Amazon Germany to put together an exclusive Bronson collection and regretted two of them the most - 'Murphy's Law' and 'The Evil That Men Do'. Ah, the price we pay for our whimsical pursuits :-). But like they say, the thrill is in the hunt. Good Luck with the SAE sale(s) whenever it is.

These are the titles I think have gone OOS TODAY. A few items like State Fair, You;kk Never get Rich, and Stanley and Iris plus 2-3 others went out then out again. Stanley and Iris came back with nearly 100 copies so there

Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95

Actually, I just checked again and STATE FAIR is available. Don't know how to see the number of copies, though.

Is it back again? It's been out and back in at least twice tonight.
Add to cart and just add 5-10-15 copies or add 1 at a time until it says NO MAS

I'm only getting a single copy so it will be gone soon enough (again)

Birth of Nation has had a circuitous route most of the month -- 500 copies down to 250 back to 400 then nearly 700, then Sunday is started dropping and today it's been as low as 20 and back to nearly 100, now edging down again.

Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95

I'm not entirely sure how to go about continuing this thread since the SAE and TT Sale no longer overlap, but here's the Tuesday May 12 update realizing is now messier and harder to keep track now that the Bulk Buyers/Resellers appear to be involved. Massive numbers are suddenly moving. I'd guess the TTM inventory sold 45000 units since Noon Sunday (best guess)

To Sir With Love dropped below 50 last night at SAE and as expected is now gone and considered OOP

Re: SAE Twilight Time Sale - every Blu-ray 4.95-14.95

For some reason "Suddenly Last Summer" does not trigger the 10 for $115 rate. If I add an additional $11.95 title in basket the price changes to $11.50 each for all $11.95 titles except "Suddenly Last Summer". If I remove the extra $11.95 title the 10 remaining titles which include "Suddenly Last Summer" revert to $11.95. Tried with Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Anyone else have this problem?

It has been the one title that has been excluded -- no idea why. Very briefly Sunday when they were expanding then deleting then price changing it was included for an hour or two, then excluded again.
125 out of the 126 11.95 titles at one point were part of it, but one exception. I would say Elizabeth, but others with her are part of it
