Yeah, their categories are bizarre, I've never bought anything there from browsing, it's always been because I was looking for something specific.

Is Gravity Falls pretty good? Barely heard of this animated series but seems kinda eccentrically funny from reading reviews.

Have you watched The Owl House on Disney ? The person running that show is the partner of the Gravity Falls showrunner and it shares some similarities (and voice actors).

Re: Shout / Scream Factory Blu-ray Sales
Shout Factory has a pretty terrific sale on box sets going on from now through April 21st.
Friday the 13th is a particular standout at $79.99 for their colossal collection. And if you're into Kamen Rider, Kuuga and Zero One are $29.99, which is lower than I believe I've ever seen 'em. (And also on the toku front, they're DVDs, but a bunch of Super Sentai collections are $23.99-$29.99 right now.)

That is a good sale. I highly recommend the Decline of Western Civilization box on blu-ray, 29.99 is a great price for that one.

I really enjoyed those Universal Horror Blu-ray sets and $34.99 is a much more reasonable price. Some very good commentaries on many of them.

At least there seems to be no tax. Shipping is $7 unless you order $50.

Re: Shout / Scream Factory Blu-ray Sales
Damn. Decisions decisions. There's a boxset on sale for $49 that's usually $70. It's a "best of..." collection but I can't find a listing of which episodes are included and I'm looking for one specific episode. The separate season I'm looking for isn't available. Do I spend $49 on the possibility it's included?

Are you talking about Loretta Young? If so, the DVDTalk review has the episode lists: https://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/5916...mplete-series/
I actually just want to watch it once. I, supposedly appeared on it when I was an infant in my mom's attempt to get me into tv. I had a portfolio and one of the few surviving photos had that written on the back for whomever to see I had experience.

I picked up the Star Trek Captains collection with extra disk and The Glass Key, a movie not in the sale. I picked The Captains up when I saw the prices of the regular set at other stores..

Re: Shout / Scream Factory Blu-ray Sales
I don't think that's possible. Shout is a boutique label that licenses studio content for their line of physical media. The digital codes are an entirely separate thing and probably only licensed through the studio. I mean you can get Bill and Ted on Vudu.
The 1986 Transformers cartoon did have a digital movie file code. But, it was not supported by MA or Vudu. It was a downloadable digital file. I tried to sell it off here, but no one wanted it because it wasn't compatible with any service.

Yeah, I'm sure that digital codes are a whole separate licensing issue when it comes to boutique labels like Criterion, Arrow, and Shout/Scream. To include a digital code, they'd probably have to buy them separately from the rights to produce a disc, and that would add an extra ten or twenty dollars to the retail price.

Re: Shout / Scream Factory Blu-ray Sales
I'm sure it is a licensing thing, it's just annoying that I bought all these John Carpenter Blu-rays, but now I can't watch them because my TV has kind of crapped out.

I want the Halloween 4K Collection to complete my set, but I just know that they will have it for 50 bucks or less this October if I pull the trigger now.
Really wish they did a Steelbook for all their 4K releases. Since I have scaled back my purchases and just buy very few 4K discs, the ones I do get are almost always in a Steelbook. Not a dealbreaker but they look nice.
