Game of Thrones final season 4K steelbook set is only $30 right now. Currently sold out.

It's the lowest price that set has ever been. It's the last one I needed to complete the series, so I got it. I can wait for the backorder to come later.

Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind [Blu-ray] there's a 3.00 coupon making it $10.

Re: Amazon: Blu-ray discounts and deals mega-thread

The coupons are matching the Target B2G1 price, for example, Days of Thunder is 22.99 at Target's site, and if you did a B2G1 of three 22.99 titles, they would come out to 15.33 each, which is how much it is at Amazon after coupon.
I have no idea why they match some by putting them in a B2G1 offer, and match others with coupons like this. The coupon matching is pretty nice because then you don't have to buy 3 things to get the sale price.

I notice there are other Studio Ghibli movies (Howl's Moving Castle, My Neighbor Totoro) with coupons for $1.73 which brings them down towards $13.

They're all streaming on HBO Max now, right? Probably the reason for the price drops/discounts.

I think it's matching the B2G1F at Target in strange ways.

By the way, you can buy those collectors editions of Spirited Away, Mononoke, and Totoro as part of B2G1F.

Is Days of Thunder worth a blind buy? Kind of considering it since itís only a bit over $15 with the coupon applied. Not bad for a new 4K.

Stupid thing is they constantly change the titles that qualify for the offer everyday. On the first day, 'Showboat' was eligible for the offer. Added to cart to wait for 2 more to pop up that I wanted. Today it did and when I check out, 'Showboat' is no longer eligible. sitting this annoying sale out. 50% off Criterion sale always is around the corner

Sometimes they'll come back around, which was the case for me and the Return of Ultraman steelbook (which was there near the start of the sale, dropped off, and then came back).

It'd be nice if you could see on your Amazon wish lists if titles were part of the sale, but at least it's not too much of a hassle to right-click a whole bunch of times.

Amazon is very conscious of customers using price trackers like CamelCamelCamel for all-time lows. Coupons are intended to circumvent the price trackers.

I've never seen Amazon match B&N's Criterion sale.

They have the last several sales they have, but not all and not a full PM. Anything below $35, Amazon will assume you are stupid enough to order one at a time and will PM B&N+Shipping
so for 19.99 items they will price their copy at 22.99/23.99. I think B&N std shipping is now 4.99 so it's likely going to PM at 24.99 this time though many of Amazon's normal Amazon are 22-24 and may just stay there.

This is back again for the third, maybe fourth time. I guess it's not a price error and they're just blowing it out for some reason? Seems really weird.

Just got a cancellation email. Which is weird because this dropped in price like three times:

Hello,

We're contacting you about order #XXX-XXXXXX. We recently discovered an error that caused the following item(s) to be displayed at an incorrect price:

Teasing Master Takagi-san (Karakai Jozu no Takagi-san): The Complete Series [Blu-ray]

In this case, we're unable to offer this item for the incorrectly posted price. Therefore, we've cancelled your order for this item, and you haven't been charged.

At any given time, despite our best efforts, a small number of the millions of items on our site may be mispriced.

We're sorry for any disappointment or inconvenience this may have caused.

We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Sincerely,

Customer Service

Re: Amazon: Blu-ray discounts and deals mega-thread

The deal popped up on several different deal sites. Amazon decided they couldn't swallow a loss that big. It's one of those cases where Amazon would have honored the price if so many people hadn't gotten in on it.

I understand, I just thought it was weird because this price mistake happened like several times on the preorder: it would go down in price, revert, then go back down in price again.

Yeah, got the same note several days ago. I think I just saved myself $7, as I wouldn't have watched this for years and probably would have sold it or lost it. Whichever came first.

Blade Trilogy Blu-ray set is $10. Not bad for two decent films.
