Thanks. Appreciate that.

Still... they ought to put that info on their website page as a part of the banner announcing the sale. How much trouble can it possibly be? Is their webmaster going to develop carpal tunnel?

Not everyone does Social Media.

Well, they do have the "social" tab on their site, that's how i found the tweet:
https://www.kinolorber.com/social

Still, you're right that it should be somewhere on the sale page or banner or something too.

Is their webmaster going to develop carpal tunnel?
"webmaster?" Is this 1995?

On that same page, there's also "subscribe" link that lets you sign up for their email newsletter. Doing this seems to be suggested here at least once a year, invariably in relation to another "what's the deal with this sale/I rebuke social media" query. Among other things, they promote every sale through the newsletter, so there's never really been any need to rely on social media if it's not your thing.

Was prepared to let this sale slide by without ordering anything, but I really wanted Sangaree and just wasn't confident it was going to show up with any regularity in future sales.
Happy to get the Van Doren set too, but now I have to return the copy of it I just got in from DD.

Are the Redemption titles ever part of a sale? --peter

re: Kino Lorber & KL Studio Classics sales, discounts, and deals

I haven't seen them as part of a Kino Sale in a very long time.

I've gotten most of mine from Deep Discount or BN sales since then

TCM had a blowout years ago (?2012) and I got about 10-20 of them for $10-12 each including most of the Rollin

The 40% off BN sales with heavy coupons is a pretty good time to consider them -- the $30MSRP titles should be $10-14 with a little work or net a little less if you combine them with some 15-20% discounted GC

That's a good purchase right there.

Kino Lorber Flash Blu-ray Sale!
KL Studio Classics and Kino Lorber select Blu-rays from $6.99-$14.99!

Friends, we've temporarily reduced pricing for nearly 200 titles that we have heavy stock on.

https://www.kinolorber.com/list/view...iliate=brcommb

A few items to note:
- Free Shipping to USA for subtotals $50 or more.
- Sale is based on "In Stock Items" that have higher than average inventory. If inventory gets low we are keeping option to remove from sale.
- Last day of sale is Sunday, February 10th.

I don't see anything of particular value that screams pricing for inventory reduction. If anything, like in the past many of these will make their way to a liquidator like Hamilton Books for a much lower price. Giorgio Moroder's Metropolis at $5.99 seems to be the only one with an attractive price.

Unfortunately agreed. Nothing at all stands out for me from a price to value perspective.

re: Kino Lorber & KL Studio Classics sales, discounts, and deals

As per the other forum, the titles on sale in this batch will not be offered in the sale in March (which will include substantially more titles).

There's some decent things in this one, but most of what I would be interested in I've already picked up in previous sales. Will be easy to sit this one out and max out in March.

Still looking to pick up Purple Plain, which I haven't seen show up in a sale since last August.

The next sale should be Tuesday April 9th. However, it probably won't be a site-wide sale, -an insider is saying perhaps 250 titles.

Yeah, originally it was going to be end of March and offer pretty much everything that wasn't on sale in Feb. Now the KLI is dialing that back and makes it sound like just another run of the mill, regular sale.

Also, he made the comment a few weeks back when they said they were pushing it to April, that the sale would now include some early April releases. We'll see.

I'm a bit disappointed that a few titles I was hoping to get aren't part of the sale: The Woman in the Window, The Spiral Staircase, Tobor the Great...

On the other hand, I have too many unwatched movies anyway.

Just checked out the sale... and was hugely underwhelmed. Skipping it until the next one....

Yup.

This was not the sale the KLI was talking up around the beginning of the year (after the BF and New Year sales underwhelmed a lot of us).

Their big sale has been in June, if I remember correctly.

In for Sangaree 3D, Night Stalker, and V2-4 Pink Panthers plus a couple random items.
Night Stalker will surely drop in the future, but for now I'll take the $13 price.
New For a Few Dollars More is good enough to get me over $50 for FS

re: Kino Lorber & KL Studio Classics sales, discounts, and deals

I think this is a little better than the last couple, but I'll be passing also.

I don't know why, but I have a problem with telling apart Kino DVD's from BLU's on ebay. I had $10 "ebay bucks" so I ordered Varieite. I got the dvd; thought I was getting the blu. It was my error, not the seller's. The blu was only $3 more; and the same "Super D" owned seller has since lowered the price $1.00 on the dvd. Grr.

I'm assuming that KL never acknowledged the DNR problem on the fourth volume. Has anyone heard anything different?
