Well, OOS doesn't mean OOP, so there's that.

KLSC is interesting in that aspect. They sell some of these newer items (qualifying it by stuff released this year) for under $10 during their numerous sales. At this point, if you want something from them, you might as well just wait it out, eventually it'll hit $10 or less, or so it seems to me anyway. Gambit is another one for $9.99

Yup. I always just keep and ongoing wishlist on their site and wait to buy direct from them. The new items are usually on sale pretty quickly. Another example… Hard Target 4K… $28 + tax on Amazon… $15.99 here no tax (for me).

I also like that their system tells you if you purchased the item already.

I always say I'm gonna lay off these KL sales and then I end up giving in. It doesn't help when I get the itch to try to complete certain director or star collections. I mean do I really need to own Under Capricorn and Number Seventeen? Apparently I do. Kudos to KL though for releasing titles that I can't imagine sell in very large numbers. Then once I hit the free shipping threshold why not add a few more wants at these prices?

[Blu-ray] Thoroughly Modern Millie (Special Roadshow Edition) $9.99
[Blu-ray] The Tomb of Ligeia (Special Edition) $9.99
[Blu-ray] Number Seventeen (Special Edition) aka Number 17 $9.99
[Blu-ray] The Cat and the Canary (w Bob Hope) $9.99
[Blu-ray] Lifeboat $9.99
[Blu-ray] Unstrung Heroes (Special Edition) $4.99
[Blu-ray] The Fortune Cookie (Special Edition) $9.99
[Blu-ray] The Last Man on Earth (Special Edition) $9.99
[Blu-ray] The Mephisto Waltz $8.49
[Blu-ray] Under Capricorn (Special Edition) $8.99

With tax (NY), it averaged out to $10.06 per title, shipped.

LOL, for me it's like Alain Delon. If anyone needs a title just to hit the FS threshold (unlikely), I can endorse Playing God. It's a 90s neo-noir w/David Duchovony and Angelina Jolie (before she became a megastar). It's got all the hallmarks of neo-noir. Main character who is in too deep and no idea the crap and twistedness he's gotten himself too.

I blind bought that title. That's one of the joys of this , you just find enjoyable movies that you may have never heard of or bought if it weren't for KLSC sales. Also, now that they've partnered up w/Cohen Media, those titles are more affordable now.

As far as my track record goes, Kino is like the much cheaper version of Vinegar Syndrome. I blind buy a ton of titles from both and have received my share of stinkers.

Debating whether to do a $50 order, & if so which item to remove from my cart to get it down to the minimum. I'll know more about my finances on Thursday; so will likely decide then. They have definitely raised their prices (though Eureka's raised by much more to cover postage increases from the UK to the USA).

They have some really good deals in the going out of print sale. I got like 10 blu rays for 54.99. They are a lot in the $4.99 and $5.99 range.

Can you post a link? I haven't received anything on a going out of print sale, just the March Into April Sale.

www.kinolorber.com/list/view/code/while-supplies-last-2021?page=1

I waited to get the Roy Rogers films and they just reduced them to $4.99. They are supposed to look really good like Trigger and Sunset in the west. They have restored version of Nothing Sacred real cheap as well.

The link isn't quite working. But if you search the link I posted on google it comes up.

re: Kino Lorber & KL Studio Classics sales, discounts, and deals

A lot of the titles in that 'While Supplies Last' sale seem to have been parked there forever, but the Kino rep did recently post at HTF a list of titles in that batch that will be soon leaving the site, so if these are of interest or can pad out an order to get free shipping, now might be the time to jump on them. I can't imagine many these titles being such big sellers that other boutique labels will bother with them:

We reduced the price on 112 WSL titles and added 5 new ones.

Added Titles:
THE BOYS IN THE BAND
THE DEVIL’S DISCIPLE
THE JERICHO MILE
THE REIVERS
X: THE MAN WITH THE X-RAY EYES

The following titles will be removed from the website very soon:

1492: CONQUEST OF PARADISE
BECKY SHARP
THE COVERED WAGON
DAKOTA
DRIFTWOOD
I, JANE DOE
THE LAST COMMAND
THE MAN WHO DIES TWICE
MARJORIE MORNINGSTAR
OLD IRONSIDES
THE OPTIMISTS
PAPA’S DELICATE CONDITION
PHOBIA
THE PSYCHOPATH
SINGING GUNS
SPECIAL DELIVERY
A STRANGE ADVENTURE
SUNSET IN THE WEST
THOSE DARING YOUNG MEN IN THEIR JAUNTY JALOPIES
TIGER BY THE TAIL
TRIGGER JR.
A WOMAN’S DEVOTION
I can vouch for the KL releases of TRIGGER JR. and SUNSET IN THE WEST mentioned in an earlier post, as well as SINGING GUNS. The TruColor restorations on all three are excellent (wish Kino had released more of the titles shot in the format), as are Toby Roan's commentaries. Fun films.

What titles do you like in that price range? I am debating on buying again before the sale ends. Thanks

re: Kino Lorber & KL Studio Classics sales, discounts, and deals

If you, don't have Gross Anatomy, that was fantastic with Modine in a more comedic role. Heartbreak Hotel was good, I have the Mill Creek version. Hot Touch is a steal for 5.99 if you are a Wayne Rogers Fan. I paid more for that in the regular Kino sale. I got High Commissioner in a previous sale which was decent. Kotch is good for a more warm side of Mathau.
National Lampoon's Class Reunion is decent especially for that price. I paid more for it. I'm planning to get Whoever Slew Auntie Roo as the review I saw looked good. Naked face with Roger Moore was actually an entertaining watch. There is the Roy Rogers movies and Singing Guns and Nothing Sacred is probably the biggest steal for this price. Last Plane out is Code Red and probably worth such a cheap price as well. Psychopath is supposed to be really good, but may have some video quality issues. I bought this a while ago and didn't watch it yet. Robert Bloch wrote it and he wrote Hitchcock's Psycho. Thunderbirds set would be good if you don't have it as well. Woman in the Window would be a good choice as well as some of the higher priced ones.
