Right. They told me before I ordered, that the oos items would be back in within 2 weeks.

Today is 2 weeks & it hasn't shipped. I called & got a more knowledgeable rep this time. Apparently (& ironically) "Boys" is the only hold up. Both the rep & I are guessing than it's permanently oop, & Kino made a boo boo in stating it was temporarily oos. Kino is supposed to call me with an answer on Wednesday. If it's another week or 2, I'll wait; if longer I'll have them ship. The rep agreed, they would not charge me shipping, though subtracting Boys would bring me below $50.

I got a notice from them saying House On Sorority Row won't be back anytime soon, so they're shipping the rest of my order without it. Kind of a bummer, it was the one horror movie of the group.

This may be my last Kino order.

"I ordered on 5/26.I was told if anything was oos, there would be a 2 week delay. I called Tuesday (2 weeks). The rep told me that Boys was still oos. He told me that your main office would call me on Wednesday. No one has called and it is Friday. I called today & the rep said call 212-629-6880. No one answered. The rep on Tuesday guessed that "Boys" was out of print. If it is just out of stock, I'm willing to wait 1 more week. If it is out of print, please ship. Shipping should be free, as I ordered over $50; * your web site said "temporarily out of stock". I am really frustrated."

I know the deals are great, but I largely avoid direct sales from niche labels like Kino Lorber and Shout Factory. They just aren't built for direct-to-consumer operations like retail operations. I'm still waiting on an order from Vinegar Syndrome made over three weeks ago.

About 1 1/2 hours after I posted the above, Kino wrote an apology; basically said they had messed up & the entire order would ship within 3 days.

I was surprised you hadn't bought it already, as you specifically mentioned wanting it a sale or two back before this one.

Yes, thanks for asking! I was holding out until I got to $50 for free ship. I've always had a bit of a Crush on Ryder, & $5 is a killer price, but I wasn't willing to pay shipping on what was basically a blind buy.

Just finished Cover Up, which for a b minus minus pic wasn't bad, & am starting a 1959 Poverty Row period Paramount, Phantom From 10,000 Leagues which is at least watchable though I haven't heard of a single actor in it!

Ironically after all the effort I put myself through to get "boys" at a cheap price. It was quite an odd movie, The first 50% or so was AWFUL; and than the last 30-50% got pretty good. Guess it was basically worth the $5.

Was ready to pass on this, but right off the bat I see the Hedy Lamar doc Bombshell is the lowest it's ever been priced there. Been waiting for the price to drop on that for years.
Guess I'll be getting an order off after all.

Going through the sale I'm kind of happy to see only one title that comes in lower than what I paid at Target for the B2G1s. But the other two in the same order are considerably higher in price here, so Target was still the better deal overall (for purchases over the next few months at least).

I just wen through the sale. Better titles than we've seen of late, but higher prices also. I'm over $50, but i don't think I'm going to pull the trigger.

If you don't have it yet, there is 1 major score: The Ida Lupino indie box for $30. I bought them individually on sale & paid more.

I agree on the set, but the Lupino Boxset is only $30. I think I got it for $25 from the Target B2G1 sale a few months ago though I think the Target price is now a lot higher than when I got it then.
