Same routine. Mostly regulars with a much-better-than-usual amount of new(er) titles mixed in. Good prices on THE MAZE and CEASE FIRE 3D discs for those who need them. Ten bucks for the Pink Panther Vol. 1. Low prices (justifiably, frankly) on a lot of those Touchstone/Hollywood Pictures discs. Free shipping over $50.

Very tempting with those awesome prices. Am running out of space to hoard my collection and my wife is running out of tolerance for my burgeoning collection. How do I swing this ?

I thought about waiting for this sale, but then I figured the odds of them including the two titles released last week that I wanted were next to nil. So I placed an order with DD before their sale expired for an OK but nothing special price.

Lo and behold, both titles are included here and at over 66% off. Even with the tax I would get hit with, I still basically just threw away $11.

Seems like I can rarely win with Kino. If I wait for the sale, then they don't include the titles I really want. If I take advantage of a lesser sale- sure enough I'll find out quickly I could have done better if I just waited.

LOL. Nah, I'll be blowing my chances of enhancing my BD collection if I went that route. The 'it was on sale' line has played fine so far for both of us..so I continue to push it to its limits.

And so, am placing a $122 order here. Needed those Gloria Swanson titles, a couple of the Sidney Poitier ones, a few Noirs, another title for the Billy Wilder completist in me...and so goes the list :-)

Still expensive but the 1st Season of Outer Limits is $55 which I guess is the cheapest its been so far on Kino site. Currently $50 at Deep Discount . I would wait for price to drop further.

This must be the sale I've been waiting for. I bought ten about a year ago, but in subsequent sales I just couldn't make the $50. This time I may get another 10.

Yeah, similar story here. The title mix in this iteration of their periodic sales seemed to hit my sweet spot. I stuck about $150.00 worth of titles in my cart then had to winnow it down to something more reasonable for my budget. Ended up with:

BrianT, this is to complement your original post. There are some low priced Kinos at Hamilton Books as well - shipping is a flat $4 and there's no sales tax outside of CT.

This is the only thing that helps mitigate my frustration.

Last year I needed to send them a couple emails after over three weeks of not getting any ship or processing notice.

It was over a month and a half before I finally got them.

They've already got a "shipping may be delayed due to low stock on the sale" notice up. B.S. How many times has this happened? EVERY SALE?

How's about, "we'll bill your card when the product you ordered is actually in stock".

When I was a net retailer, that was certainly our policy.

They emailed me back; yep they're waiting for stock on items I ordered before I even received the sale email. You'd think by now they'd have a clue as to what demand they're going to get at a particular price point.

Same here! Except for the whole winnowing it down part. My willpower went out the window thanks to the refreshed mix of titles. My only sad justification was to swap several Blus for the DVD counterparts because they're titles I'm nearly certain I'll re-sell when I'm done with them. So that saved a few bucks. -rolleyes-
