I've never had a problem with slow shipping for in-stock items but hit a different snag during their last (?) sale. They sent me a wrong disk. I emailed CS but after about a week never got a reply so emailed them again. I waited a few more days, then called. The receptionist took my information and said he'd take care of it. Another week passed and I received two copies of the Blu-Ray! CS apparently did get my emails but never replied and the guy on the phone didn't verify the shipment before sending a copy of his own. Yes, Kino's CS operation doesn't seem to be firing on all cylinders.

Best thing is to call them. You get connected pretty quickly and they're great to resolve stuff. I once got two of the same titles. They asked me to keep the duplicate and sent me the right title in less than a week.

I received my package today. It got delayed because of at least one of the 3D titles, but I guess it was still quicker than some.

Their blu-ray cases seem to have changed to the lighter shitty ones, btw.

I've heard, -on another site, -that there's a site-wide sale coming at the end of the month leading into July 4th.

FYI: I'm becoming increasingly disappointed by Kino's declining standards of print quality. Just finishing Manhandled, which is in desperate need of a restoration; & wasn't real happy with Za-Za or Beggars Of Life either. Kino used to be a quality imprint; now they seem to be hit or miss.
I don't know if this is the Studio Classics silents only, or the regular silents also. I'll probably bite $50 for the free ship on the rumored 50-70% off all titles late June sale, & I guess I'll find out. At least on the German films, the Murnau foundation pretty much always does excellent restorations these days.

from my experience, Kino and silents don't mix. This is the #1 reason why I went region free, so I can purchase Master of Cinema's silents... just my opinion.
