Last year I needed to send them a couple emails after over three weeks of not getting any ship or processing notice.

It was over a month and a half before I finally got them.
I've never had a problem with slow shipping for in-stock items but hit a different snag during their last (?) sale. They sent me a wrong disk. I emailed CS but after about a week never got a reply so emailed them again. I waited a few more days, then called. The receptionist took my information and said he'd take care of it. Another week passed and I received two copies of the Blu-Ray! CS apparently did get my emails but never replied and the guy on the phone didn't verify the shipment before sending a copy of his own. Yes, Kino's CS operation doesn't seem to be firing on all cylinders.

Best thing is to call them. You get connected pretty quickly and they're great to resolve stuff. I once got two of the same titles. They asked me to keep the duplicate and sent me the right title in less than a week.

Fedex is notorious for pushing back non-business deliveries. Pay little attention to their tracking info.

Thanks. It would be nice to know, as my nay-boor-hood is known for "porch pirates" (sigh).

Hopefully it will end up being smart post & put in the locked maibox.

They've now pushed it back 2 more days. If that's right, it will be 22 days from order to delivery. GRR.

I received my package today. It got delayed because of at least one of the 3D titles, but I guess it was still quicker than some.

I've heard, -on another site, -that there's a site-wide sale coming at the end of the month leading into July 4th.

Re: KL Studio Classics MAYhem Sale - 143 titles (ends May 29th)

FYI: I'm becoming increasingly disappointed by Kino's declining standards of print quality. Just finishing Manhandled, which is in desperate need of a restoration; & wasn't real happy with Za-Za or Beggars Of Life either. Kino used to be a quality imprint; now they seem to be hit or miss.

I don't know if this is the Studio Classics silents only, or the regular silents also. I'll probably bite $50 for the free ship on the rumored 50-70% off all titles late June sale, & I guess I'll find out. At least on the German films, the Murnau foundation pretty much always does excellent restorations these days.

Re: KL Studio Classics MAYhem Sale - 143 titles (ends May 29th)

from my experience, Kino and silents don't mix. This is the #1 reason why I went region free, so I can purchase Master of Cinema's silents... just my opinion.

Kino's general BD quality has declined as they've expanded their line. We should probably be grateful they release a lot of what they do put out, since the major labels that own the movies have no interest.

Agree with both of you. We're kinda stuck with Kino for several titles, unless we can get them via another foreign label, and it's just a pain keeping up with all the foreign labels releasing titles.

I agree MOC always bests Kino.
