On the plus side, I like that KL now adds a little notice when you add something to your cart that you've already purchased, and thankfully I'm not seeing too much in this batch that I need.

That's why you order enough to get free shipping, or wait until one of their sales allows you to order enough stuff to get free shipping. The threshold is $50. ;)

If the sale covered their full line, I'd have no problem. I think this is one of their weakest slates, and many titles are a buck or so higher than last month's sale.

I was thinking the same. They even appear to now have 2 separate websites & shopping carts; 1 for studio classics & 1 for everything else. I hope I'm wrong; as it's easier to get to $50 with the full catalog available.

As is only 3 for me here; & 2 would be replacing pretty good quality dvd's.

Hey, I just posts 'em! :) I found enough to get just above $50. That probably won't happen again now unless they repeat that excellent nearly-the-entire-Studio-Classics catalog sale they had last year. Clearly no one needs to buy anything, and if you can't get to $50 you might as well hold off.

Not every KL Studio Classics sale is a winner, but thankfully their stuff doesn't seem to go out of print. And despite the two different sites -- frankly I'm glad they spun off Studio Classics on its own -- I recall at least one sale that had a mix of stuff from both catalogs, albeit a small mix.

The KL Studio Classics sale last year where almost everything was on sale was to introduce the new separate site. Maybe they will have an anniversary sale this year.

As is often the case, Kino has found 3 or 4 titles I'd really like to buy, and not much else. Given the free shipping threshold, I will need to pass.
