Haven’t perused the offerings yet — kind of afraid to, really

Yes, there are. But the same ones from previous sales. The good part is the number of new titles in the $8.99 - $10.99 price range. Still staying out until the next sale when more of those drop to $8.99 or less. Those Kino titles are going nowhere

I got another email on this today; so took another look.
I find it interesting that in most cases the blu is cheaper than the dvd of the same title. Wonder if the average consumer is buying more dvd's than blu's? The only reason I could see for that is the ridiculous copyguards that make watching some of the blu's a bit more difficult then watching a dvd.
