Assume that all of these are available to all customers unless specifically listed as member only like the Welcome Package. Also remember that any preliminary codes are just that and BN could pull it, change the details or exclusions anything prior to release so always a bit of YMMV until the final release date

Mini FAQ
Coupons should not work for PREORDERS , Nook, Legos, Rosetta Stone, Digital, Gift Cards, Memberships, etc. There are glitches where sometimes an excluded item will be allowed but assume that is the exception to the rule
Free Shipping is $25 (before tax/shipping) or with membership.
Max 3 GC on a single online order.
Online only a single code can be applied to an order
Return period is 14 days after delivery (possibly 30 days for members though I've never tried)
Online ordered items can returned to a local store unless it's classified as a web-only item then it's at the store's discretion to accept
The long standing Free 60 day Trial Offer was discontinued in late May 2016

STORE ONLY 15% OFF Coupons -- Unknown if multi-use or if will work on 40% Off Items
15% OFF Single Item Exp 12/31/2017 (I)
15% OFF Single Item Exp 12/31/2017 (II)
15% OFF Single Item Exp ?? (III)

For now the coupon barcode is missing and there is some big confusion with how the new 25% code might work. I don;t see any new exclusions concerning MOVIES.

20% Off Single Item Online
D4M8K3B
-- Unknown Expiration. Could be Dec 31 exp

10% of $35-59.99 or 15% of $60 or more
LETITSNOW -- expires 12/25/2017 2:59am ET

"New Member" Welcome Coupons
Welcome coupons may be dead -- or at least the type that have been available for nearly a decade. The latest set now have what appears to be single use codes so these probably no longer will be generic/multiple use style.

Barnes & Noble 40% Off MSRP Blu-ray 12/19 to the end of 12/24

I'll post this in anticipation of the Sale following normal rules

Barnes & Noble 40% Off MSRP Blu-ray excludes Disney/Marvel/Lucas. Criterions are now eligible at least onlin.
Tuesday Dec 19 through end of business Sunday Dec 24

1) Should include all Blu-rays in-store except the excluded categories -- DVDs are usually not included in the Dec Sale. Movie, TV Sets, and 4KUHD are usually eligible. Some Music items including a LP or CD with Blu-ray are classified as Music and aren't normally included. In-store also includes items available for ship to home. There are a few studios and items classified at Web Only which function as 3rd Party and aren't included though there aren't many in this group

2) Online -- usually about 2/3 of items are included. Some studios like Warner Archives rarely are included online (I think there were 3 or 4 items last year), but are discounted for the store generated ship to home orders. Newer release items often are excluded as well.

3) 10% Member discount apply in-store. Coupons both on-line and in-store have been mostly excluded the last couple sales, BUT NOT entirely so it's always worth a shot.

Current Coupons in the WIKI

WIKI included the currently known 15% Off Single Item Store coupons. I strongly suspect there will be 1 or 2 round of larger store coupons during the sale though pending whether any will work automatically on Sale items

I have my emails sorted and 25% OFF SINGLE ITEM (STORE ONLY) EXP END OF THE DAY 12/24 unique ID/One time use coupons to give out so for those who need them, just send me a PM and tell me how many you need. Instore coupons don't tend to got as fast so please ask for as many as you can use, give aways, spares for items you think you might get if you hit the lottery, etc

20% Off Single Item Online
D4M8K3B
-- Unknown Expiration. Could be Dec 31 exp

10% of $35-59.99 or 15% of $60 or more
LETITSNOW -- expires 12/25/2017 2:59am ET

The newest set of Coupons do not specifically exclude items in the 40% sale (YET) so we'll have to see how that works on Tuesday either online or instore

Re: Barnes & Noble 40% Off MSRP Blu-ray 12/19 to the end of 12/24

In the past I've used the 40% off for Kino, Warner Archive, basically anything with a boutique label not named Criterion. Also, if you can get the store to order it for you and ship it for pickup at the store, that's often the way to go...but that's a store by store thing. I have a list ready, we'll just see if its worth it or not.

The Nolan 4K Collection might end up being a good deal if it works. List is $150, so that should bring it to $90 without any coupons. That comes out to under $13 per movie.

I just don't see much non-Criterion inventory remaining at most Barnes & Nobles locations I frequent.

I've been thinking of biting on dark knight trilogy.

The Nolan set is awesome but lack of digital copies turns me off

I was hoping to get the Romero Between Night and Dawn set but it's out of stock. Does anyone know if this is likely to come back in stock? I think it was limited.

As usual the Warner Archive titles are not included on line. Will try ship to home from a store.

The WAC TV series are almost never on sale anywhere so this is often the only chance to get them less than $20. The regular WAC movies at least have occasional sales, but rarely at $10 or less IF the coupons are allowed
Well it's certainly changed since i did it a few years ago then. So...basically this sale has nothing I want. Good job B&N!

Re: Barnes & Noble 40% Off MSRP Blu-ray 12/19 to the end of 12/24

Success getting 40% Warner Archive titles Used 25 percent coupon multiple times. Just printed several copies. Separate orders Shipped to Home. So far all good. With membership got Superman 2 film tv cut $8.90 , Auntie Mame same price. IZombie season 3 for $16.19. Lucifer Season 2 $19.43. Tax extra. Suggest shop sooner rather than later in case they disable the coupon on highly discounted items.

Note: My store had trouble locating the Warner Archive 2 film Superman set. This movie has been released multiple times. The 3 film Superman set with the Donner cut of Superman II and Superman Returns kept coming up when they searched. Finally they had to google search the title and they finally found it. If you are interested in this title make sure they order the correct one.

was going to sit any more sales out as I'm scraping the bottom right now after a few big BF purchases and needing to replace the washing machine this week, but I ended up ordering the Sissi Collection after seeing Wishlist worked on it. Came to under $37 with tax.

Go to Arrow's UK website, you can get it shipped for around $60 or less (it's 40 pounds right now). If you have any rewards points or whatever it'll knock it down more.

By the way, Arrow's new website is pretty slick. I like it.

Was getting psyched to finally buy the only Charlie Chan boxed set I don't own, but then re-read the subject line: Blu-Ray only. I see a couple Warner animation collections, but could likely get the same price from DD during one of their 15% off sales. On the back burner for now.

Is the Arrow sale available in store as well? Or just online?

That is a really good call on getting the Sissi Collection. It's a strong set and essential if you enjoy classic family entertainment from the 1950s.

I picked up Shout Factory's Bruce Lee remastered discs with this sale from the website. They are all going out of print since Shout Factory's rights lapse in 2018.

Is the ship to home option also available to non-members? Would love to pick up Longmire S5 for around $20. I know I would have to pay the $4 shipping, but it would still be a lot cheaper than anywhere else.

Picked up Twin Peaks: The Return blu-ray for $29.88 using the 30% coupon online. I went to a store and attempted a ship to home order thinking I'd get an additional 10% off the price from online, but was surprised to see the in-store retail price was $10 more expensive than the online price: $75.99 vs $64.99. So, it's best to order it online with free member shipping.

If you have no interest in a membership, rather than pay $4 for shipping I would suggest finding some other $5-10 item to add to the package and use one of the 15% codes

Something like
https://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/dvd...=0883929525294

or Duel, Cool Hand Luke, Sunset Blvd, Somewhere in Time. There are a bunch of under $10 titles to pick form. Even if you find a $5 title and donate it to Goodwill or a Childrens Hospital it seems better than paying for shipping if you don't need to.
Thanks for the info.

Another question about B&N. I made a purchase online around 10 days ago from them. After the item had shipped I found the same item(dvd box set) elsewhere for quite a bit less(and purchased it). So I go to return the item to a B&N store today but they said they can't give me a refund only a store credit because I used Paypal. They pretty much told me to contact B&N.com to handle it.

Anyone else dealt with something like this before?

Ok, thanks. Guess I'll just have to eat the shipping fees and ship it back to them. Pretty much negates most of the the money I saved buying it elsewhere. Lesson learned.

Re: Barnes & Noble 40% Off MSRP Blu-ray 12/19 to the end of 12/24

The set I order was the Carol Burnett Show for my wife. She's been wanting it for a while but kept putting off getting it until she watched the tv special that recently aired. Then she HAD to have it but no one had it in stock when I ordered it except B&N @ $235 pre-tax, pre-coupon.

After coupon and tax it came to $200. Right after it shipped Deep Discount had it listed on Amazon(but OOS on their own site) for $160 plus I added expedited shipping for $7. I knew I was over paying regardless of either price, but considering it was OOS everywhere I feared it was OOP and she really wants it.

Was going to get it for her last year when it was around $115-120 but she normally hates receiving media(cds, dvds, etc) for Christmas. I will probably just pay the cost of shipping it back as that is more than likely the best solution to all of this. I usually don't shop B&N until this time of the year and even then it is extremely limited.

I managed to get an order in for the Harry Potter 4K box using WISHLIST for a final price just over $80. I didn't realize it was a one-time coupon, I was considering getting Interstellar or Dunkirk next.
