I'm planning to drop by Best Buy later to see what I can find. Being a little extra picky this year. Only getting stuff that IMO has replay value. Not just cheap shit that I'll watch maybe once.

Not media, but I took the plunge for an early Black Friday deal and bought a Nvidia Shield Android TV box with game controller for $169 at Best Buy.

I had to pick up a 2 TB hard drive to expand the internal memory since 16 GB is way too small. The hard drive was on sale at Best Buy for $70.

Amazing device. It's a little expensive compared to a Roku, but it has more flexibility and can also stream in 4K.

My dentist recommended I get a Sonicare toothbrush this year so I got that, too. Amazon had the Pro 2 for $34.95, plus $10 coupon ($24.95) and a 3-pack of heads for $22.30, plus a $5 coupon (17.30), so my first year supply for $42.25 total, which is less than the usual cost of a Sonicare alone on any other day.

Got the kids a bunch of PJ Masks toys at Amazon and Walgreens (25% off PJ Masks this week) and we're done.

Finally, nabbed an Instant Pot Duo 6-quart for $67.99 at Amazon and in very excited! Our preschooler loves ribs. Ask her what she wants for any meal, she says ribs. Now, we can do that on whim a lot easier, can't wait!

Also bought cat food and a 12 Month Xbox Gold card to take advantage of stupid savings this time of year.

I wish we could use Black Friday 2017 savings on 4Ks of Dunkirk and Blade Runner 2049. I know I'm not the only one that can't wait to play those at home.

Also got The Founder on BD for $5.99 even though I just watched it on Netflix and felt like never eating at McDonald's again afterwards because of how badly Ray Kroc screwed the real McDonalds (at least if everything in the movie is true), but then remembered he died 33 years ago and hopefully things have been made right with them since then. The disc doesn't seem to come with many extras but would like to know more of the real story.

Got a few more Blus at 2 Big Lots stores, still not approaching the number of DVDs I used to walk out of there with. Got West Side Story and MASH in a steelbook cover for $5 each, and a few crappy titles like The Roommate and the direct-to-video Wrong Turn sequels for under $3.

Also have the Midnight Special set coming from Deep Discount thanks to a tip here along with some other stuff from them that nobody else carries that I've been meaning to get. And I'll probably be a senior citizen by the time I watch them, as I'm about to start a 6-day-a-week job for the next few months!

With the lousy sales of catalog titles and the year round bins of $7 BR I don't think there's even much of an opportunity to have those huge sales anymore are there? I can remember the days of people getting 30, 40, 50. Nowadays I have trouble finding 3 or 4 I need in a sale.

Do many of us still buy on a weekly basis? I know we used to do the "What are you getting the week of...?" thread but there was so little action it died.
