Goldenwheels is HamiltonBooks product buyer/sourcing specialist. What he is saying is that despite checking non US titles for region free status prior to sourcing them for sale on HB, he also sometimes errs and ends up with a product that is Region B/2 (PAL)

Ah,missed who was posting. So it was something Goldenwheels bought for HamiltonBooks, but HamiltonBooks never sold it because it wouldn't work on US players. So it sounds like they test a copy of everything they import.

If it looks at ALL fishy, we do. The copy writers saw PAL on the slip and immediately brought it to me.

Note: The Strain catalog number is incorrect -- it actually if the number fro Flying Swords 3D. The correct ID is 2923637

Last night you couldn't search the site by name, but he catalog numbers worked for these items -- EDIT that seemed to get fixed in the middle of the night and all items are showing up with correct prices now
Also quite there are some Arrow Discs are on sale for 11.95-14.95.

FYI - this last weekend at a Big Lots store in SoCal, I saw every Fox Marilyn title priced at $5 ($4 with the 20% FF deal).

re: Hamilton Book (Blu-ray Bargains)

I'm a little annoyed. This last update had one item that pushed me to make an order, -not a huge order, but enough to justify the shipping. Now I've got the shipping notice and the one item I really wanted is sold out and that part of my order's cancelled. This, of course, jumps up my per item shipping cost (because that's how I think) and makes the other items less of a "deal". Sorry, ..just venting....

If you can live with R2 PAL DVD, this is the budget Monroe set to get. Official & I believe it includes everything major other than Asphalt Jungle & the great Fritz Lang film, Clash By Night. Includes 17 films from All About Eve 1950 - The Misfits 1961. It's a bit pricy right now; but I paid well under $30 delivered a few years ago.

I'm not sure -- you link shows the 40GBP price which is the older release. If you click the item and change to the 2013 re-release the price was less than £20 when I looked around noon.

Didn’t know there were 2 releases but 17 disc set is sure worth it for these films-

Wasn't sure either until I went to the itme page to see if could track down the Camel Camel Camel Low Past Price or if maybe a 3rd party was having a sale.
Then I saw there was a re-release or re-package.

Since I have about 12 of the films on Bluray I doubted I was going to buy anyway it was more of a "check out what else is out there"
Big Lots had about several of those for $3-4 ea recently in some places for those that would rather have the Blus -- mine had about 3.

I believe these are the same films that are in this US set. These are the Fox and United Artist films. In addition to the missing films previous listed the Prince and The Showgirl is also not included as well as the film she made for Columbia. $30 at FYE as of this writing plus shipping and tax.

So my order goes from "sorta bad" to sorta "worse": I ordered the "Freaks and Geeks" BD set for $20, but I didn't read the fine print (or blow up the photo of the back) to see that it was a "Best Buy exclusive" with only half the features of the regular edition. I'm just going to return the order and eat the postage. Here's my question for anyone who might know: What's the best (cheapest) method for sending it back, -USPS, UPS, FedEx

never found any cheaper (non commercial) method than Media Mail. Tracking is part of the service now
