Welp, I got my Watchmen set. It's pretty impressive! (It also guarantees I will be single for life.)

To fully insure that you need to add this:

Amazon Amazon
(It was a "lightning deal" several years back for ~$15 IIRC. I missed it due to getting busy with a project at work. I was highly annoyed...)

I generally don't go for display stuff, but that's pretty cool. I might have bit at 15 bucks.

Whoa...I never knew that Archie set was that cheap. I woulda been all over that.

And Kurt - do not despair. I have all these versions of the movie, AND I'm married to a real live lady person. She's not even from Canada or nothin'!

I got one of these back then, fantastic set. I sometimes think about it and get nostalgic for the time when you could get a killer Amazon deal without being a Prime subscriber, now I am locked out of all the good stuff.

I have that Archie set as well. I think I bought Watchmen a bunch of times. Still have most of them.
Archie, Dr. Manhattan head, Normal BD, Black Freighter steelbook, Complete Cut BD, Complete Cut UHD.
My wife at the time really hated that movie. She didn’t fight me over that stuff in the divorce.

You had a wife that would fight you over your movies and memorabilia?

My ex-wife was like..."Get that shit out of here!" She was thrilled to be rid of it all.

I had one girlfriend years ago I had to hide purchases from because she felt it was her job to tell me how to spend my money

She absolutely hated and resented my hobby. She threatened to take half of my movie and record collection and then record herself destroying it if I tried to get any of the equity in the home sale or half our bank accounts.
It wasn’t a pleasant time.

My ex just recently tried to do something similar. She did not care to watch movies from a disc if it came on tv even though she knew parts were usually cut out. She had no interest in my hobby whatsoever. But when she presented what she thought was hers on the ED worksheet she listed movies, video games and systems, the whole nine yards. Outside of Halo, Mario Kart and a couple of other games she never played or showed much interest in those either. But after getting her ass handed to her by the judge in court regarding her walking out and abandoning her daughter she backed off.

Regarding the Watchmen, I own 3 or 4 different releases of it also including the Archie set.

Re: Hamilton Book (Blu-ray Bargains)

I'm not seeing anything classic other than Laurel & Hardy. Does anyone else see anything I'm missing? I'm not into "action", Anime or slasher horror. That seems to be mostly what's turning up on sales lately. But there may be some I'm missing. Especially into bargains on Olive, Kino, WAC, etc.

Among the last two posts? If we're talking classic Hollywood, there's 12 O'Cock High. There's obviously more on the full website. I recall Mr. Deeds Goes to Town for cheap.

Obviously this isn't what you're looking for, but of possible note to some is the 3d edition of Resident Evil: Final Chapter because that wasn't released in the United States.

Proving the old theory, what's it like to get married? Find a woman you hate and buy her a house.

REC 3 is not my favorite entry of the franchise but it's definitely worth $1.95 on BD.

B: The Beginning - Season One is a great deal at $7.95. It's one of the rare anime releases from Shout Factory. Tense, hard-boiled action thriller made for adults.

I picked that up and a few other things, like the Tenebrae set.
