Re: Hamilton Book (Blu-ray Bargains)

Great price for Terminator Genisys 4K disc. It was out of stock for a while at most outlets some time back. I bought it used somewhere and paid like $12 just for 4K disc and case. I thought it was going OOP.

I think that's the best price I've spotted for the new edition of The Swimmer. One of the most fascinating movies from its era, a real gem. Wilco fans should check out Where Are You, Jay Bennett?

Re: Hamilton Book (Blu-ray Bargains)

Hamilton Book has a huge summer sale going on now. This spreadsheet that GoldenWheels created has all the prices.

Several Arrow and Blue Underground UHD titles are as low as $19.95, like Deep Red, The Hills Have Eyes, Children of the Corn, and Two Evil Eyes. Arrow's Invisible Man double feature, Sailor Suit & Machine Gun, and Snake Girl & The Silver-Haired Witch are $15.95 each. Scream Factory's Hell Night and They Live (UHD) are $13.95 each. I see Vinegar Syndrome titles for $13.95. Severin releases like Shocking Dark and Robowar for $11.95... There are hundreds of titles, so I haven't gotten too deep into this yet.

Re: Hamilton Book (Blu-ray Bargains)

I suspect it's tied into other inflation & the postal increases, but the prices haven't been all that great lately.

They made up for it, between the new additions and the heavy price cuts. Especially for anyone with a taste for genre titles from the boutique labels, this is a killer lineup, in some cases eclipsing every other retailer.

And for anyone who isn’t into offbeat Japanese movie, horror, or schlocky sci-fi, Mary and the Witch’s Flower is an essential purchase at that price. As Ghibli-y a film as you’re going to get these days.

If I didn't already have the RKO Romances, I would get that; very good price.

Exactly. You gotta look at the Scream/Shout titles (some of which are OOS) as well as the Vineager Syndrome ones. Those are the real deals. Even with VS 50% sales most of the titles are$17.50. Some can be had for $12-$14.

Thanks Adam! I assume as always you have code that assembles those lists for you. Some very attractive choices and prices!

Thanks for that list. I bought Buck Rogers set and Donnie Darko. Not too bad of a price. Hamilton never lets me down. Been buying from them...well, for over 30 years. I still remember their B&W catalogs.

They have Lieutenant Jangles for only $10 (Highly recommended indie (but do watch while boozed up)).

For reference Scream Team Releasing had it on sale for $13 on Black Friday.

That was from yesterday. The titles on the bottom are the ones with the least amounts of copies remaining (and some have already sold out). I think Golden Wheels said that the top100 titles at the top had a bunch of copies.

God save me I'm really tempted by the Watchmen Collector's edition with book etc. (Misunderstood and underrated movie IMHO.)

Re: Hamilton Book (Blu-ray Bargains)

I've decided the only one I really want is THe Love Of Jeanne Ney, & with tax & shipping it would come to $17.60 & I already have the dvd................

If anyone sees cheap Olives, WACS, etc that I'm missing, please post!

It's a great package, & a decent price. I remember being excited to find it for $25 at Costco a few years back, even though I have the book & several editions of the movie already. And if you haven't seen the HBO "Watchmen" series that's available at HB too it's well worth a look. Surprisingly great, IMO.

I have the digital HBO series but haven't really cracked into it yet. I have the BD of Watchmen, and pretty sure first editions of each issue of the comic, but would like to have to hardbound to reread, and have always wanted to see the Black Freighter integrated into the movie so ...

I guess I'm a Snyder stan or something. :P

A Stanyder? Hee hee...

The complete version with the "Black Freighter" material & all the bonus scenes is really interesting - it's just finding a chunk of time long enough to take it all in ( it's been a few years since I watched it for this very reason, but I remember it clocks in at close to 4 hours long ).

I ordered a bunch of the Scream price reductions, can’t beat those prices, and gamera Showa. That’s lower than a used price!
