From personal experience, there is definitely a used market for WAC's. You're not going to get more than you paid for it, but I've sold used WAC dvd-r's for more than $11 on eBay. The blu's will go for a fortune if they go oop.

Plenty of interest for WAC disc

Not only no interest for Sale of Used Digitals, but no way to do it even if you wanted to. My point being -- you can't lump Digital into the Physical Media pile like Deadline.com article did b/c virtual products aren't Physical Items

"the demand for physical product titles remains solid having earned $5.9B on Blu-ray Disc, DVD, 4K Ultra HD and digital per the Digital Entertainment Group’s recent report"

By "digital" do you mean streaming or ripped files? If so, I largely agree; though if something is a collector's film in the public domain, you can legally rip, burn to dvd-r & legally sell it.

I need to decide soon if I'm hitting this one. Part of my issue is they have so many titles, it's a several hour project to place an order!

Having read the above link about the partial Uni-WEA merger, I would like to know if the the product is going away, or if the next sale will be a couple buck higher priced, or somewhere in between.

The 15% off pays my sales tax. If it was easier & faster to browse I'd probably go there.

As with the last sale there is this warning.

Warner Archive 4 for $44 Order Delays

Due to high order volumes we are experiencing delays in shipping orders for the Warner Archive 4 for $44 sale, please allow for up to 25 business days to ship. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

It said 3 business days when I ordered Friday morning. I have been charged that is not just a cash hold on credit card.

I am leaning on passing on this one. Too many snags with the last few orders, & I've already picked up the ones I craved.

And they have NO right to take our money immediately and take 25 days to ship. I could live with 25 days (just barely) if my card wasn't charged until the order is shipped.

F Warner Brothers. This sort of attitude is what creates piracy.

Same -- initially said 3 days. My order was a bit after 9am ET so about 3 hrs after it started. My CC is still saying Pending so it's not posted.
No shipment notification from WB email, order summary, or USPS/UPS.
In Nov my smaller order was in the first 30 minutes probably and showed up Dec 23.

Some people not only have shipments, but deliveries already. I strongly suspect order time and more importantly composition in the key. If you ordered a high demand item that may not be well stocked it may take longer to fulfill
OTOH, I got the 20% to apply in both sales so I'm not going to argue if it show up tomorrow or in April. For $9 titles I can be really really patient.

At least they told people this time unlike December when they said nothing for the first 2 weeks except to a few people who got through on the phone and passed the word along to expect delays b/c of stock issues,
warehouse short staff, holiday shipping and COVID delays in the replication plants. As long as they don't cancel titles in my order I'm OK and I can't remember WB ever doing that for a 4/44 sale

re: [DEAD] Warner Archive Sale - 4 for $44 + Free Shipping

My first order said 3 days--the second one 12 days. I'm hoping for the best, but since the first order included some dvd manufactured on demand titles, I know I may need to be very patient.

A question--any idea with the changes coming to Warner Archive--will some of the more obscure dvd manufactured on demand titles stop being available? Unsure if this may be the last chance for some of these titles?

I wouldn't be surprised that they're bottlenecked now. Folks have been going back for 3rds and 4ths, so it's a given that they are now backlogged a bit.

I don't think there's any way to know what's going to change with the changes until more is known aobut exactly what is going to happen. If WAC is just being folded into a different Order Processing webfront then nothing likely
will change. There is no indication that the manufacturing side of WAC will be any different and they'll continue to use Allied Vaughn to produce their discs. Even more, there's no indication that WAC is being phased out though some changes
certainly appear to be happening internally that we have no knowledge.

My best guess -- with the MOD small batch process (esp the DVDR line) and the fact the Warner still owns all their own product they can't really lose licenses so discontinuing the intermittent as needed production of
their current line doesn't make a lot of sense -- the expensive part is already paid off. Getting new existing product to/from the warehouse seems to be the cheapest part.
What that means fro getting new items into the line is a lot harder to predict since that requires a lot more technical knowledge and we don't know who's left, who will be running that department, how things will be re-organized, and
who will be calling the shots.

I got around 60 titles for 600 bucks. Great deal. As long as they get here in a month I'm fine with it.

I placed an order on Friday and I've gotten an e-mail that it's out for delivery (Tues). I haven't gotten a response on my second order, placed Saturday night.

I placed an order Friday afternoon. I received a shipping email yesterday and the tracking number says it will be delivered tomorrow.

Warner Archive is not going away.

WBShop is not run by WB. "WB Shop is owned and operated by Araca Merchandise L.P. under license from Warner Bros. Consumer Products Inc." It would seem Araca is no longer going to be running things. They are the ones who determine the sales.

Order placed early Friday morning 3/12.
Delivered today 3/16.

Would have gladly waited a month for it if I'd been aware of the coupon codes before hitting the order button.

Still vexed about that.

I received an email about the 15 business day delay as well. What wasn't clear was if the 15 days is from today or from the day the order was placed. In my case that is only a 3 day difference yet would be nice if it had been clarified.

re: [DEAD] Warner Archive Sale - 4 for $44 + Free Shipping

Interestingly, I got the "may take up to 15 business days" email today (the 17th) for an order number for which I received a shipping notice (including UPS tracking number) yesterday (the 16th). So the "15 business days" thing is not going out with surgical precision .

I didn't, though, get the 15 day email for my other order that shipped on the 15th. I placed 2 orders on the 12th, maybe a half hour or so apart (of course I should have combined them to save on shipping, but indecision and worrying about the 20% coupon expiring had me rushing -- I did manage to use the 20% on both at least). My 5 disc second order shipped a day before my 4 disc first order.

re: [DEAD] Warner Archive Sale - 4 for $44 + Free Shipping

On the WB shop website now every blu ray says item will ship within 15 business days where it formerly said 3 business days. I would imagine the 15 business day email went to everyone who ordered during the sale without regard to if items had already shipped. My 12 item order was placed at 7:30 AM Friday March 12th. My credit card was charged on Saturday March 13th but my order has not shipped. All the items I ordered were for blu rays that were included in the sale for the first time.
