The Scream! Factory steelbooks are all on sale. I would get all 4 if I didn't already have each of the original CE releases.

I was considering getting "The Outer Limits", but they raised the price three dollars since yesterday. It can wait...

Re: It's Another DeepDiscount 15% sale

I love Outer Limits. I have the dvd box; so I'm going to usse the strategy that worked for me on Twilight Zone:

1. Wait for a complete series box

2. Wait for the price to become reasonable (I'm sure I paid well under $50 for the latest complete TZ blu box)

But was that a price error? I have the TZ box and I seem to remember getting it on some kind of price error given I didn't want it enough to pay the normal sale prices.

That's how I got it for under $50, -and the Dick Van Dyke box, too. There's a new version of the TZ box that lists at half the price of the original and I've seen it for just under $60.

With the DDD adjustment, I get the idea that probably $50 for the first set is the best we can hope for right now. As with all things, it should go down in price over the long haul. But remember, this is Kino and it's hard to tell yet what they'll do down the road.

Don't know when the sale began but it ends 4/13 - select Olive titles are BOGO with code OLIVEBOGO. Most are backordered but still orderable. Free ship with $25 in cart

Not much of a sale, since prices went up on pretty much everything at least 15% since March. For example, most of the Warner Archives blurays went from 13.64 to over $18. Criterions jumped as much as $6. I don't think there's a studio or brand on sale right now.

With this sale, I was able to get Indicator's The Big Heat ($20) and the Maze 3D ($17). Cheapest prices for these I have seen..

Re: It's Another DeepDiscount 15% sale

Ordered the Night Gallery CS dvd set for $16.75 & pre ordered Grease 40th Anniversary digibook for $12.99.

With discount it came out to just a shade over $25, enough for free shipping!

Re: It's Another DeepDiscount 15% sale

I didn't know they started carrying the Powerhouse/Indicator imports, which I usually order from Amazon UK. The prices are comparable now with the Dollar situation. The coupon helps. However, I noticed the releases are divided when you try to search them by studio. Some are under "Powerhouse" and others are under "Powerhouse Films".

Note: To make things even stranger, you get a different collection of titles if you enter "Powerhouse Films" than if you click the link "Powerhouse Films". They are all "Powerhouse" import titles, but a different selection.

I didn't realize that people still have paid attention to this year on DVD talk. I thought that website was found to be out of business by now.

Didn't realize they were importing these now.

I only tend to order from Amazon UK when I have 4 or 5 titles to bundle together to leverage the shipping charge (where it ends up being about £1.50 per item).

Because of that the single Powerhouse/Indicator titles run me just under $20, and the multi disc sets usually are $53- shipped. That's about $7 cheaper than DDs prices pre coupon, but only a few $ more after a 15% discount.

Might be more than worth it as I'm on my second order from the UK this year that is now overdue. Usually I either get them in about half the time as the estimate, or they don't come at all and I have to get on Amazon and request a refund or another shipment.

With this sale, I was able to get Indicator's The Big Heat ($20) and the Maze 3D ($17). Cheapest prices for these I have seen.
Was very happy to be able to get The Maze on release for $17.

Re: It's Another DeepDiscount 15% sale

I've ordered Powerhouse titles from Amazon UK, but the shipping seems to come out the same per item whether I order one or several titles. If you order them early on, the prices are similar to DDD's after a 15% coupon (with the current Dollar situation); however, there were a few older titles that had gone up several pounds and the coupon helped.

DDD's price on one of the new titles I was interested in was quite a bit higher than what I'd pay at AmUK. The prices on Powerhouse at DDD seem to bounce between a bunch at $22-23 and another group at $26-27. The lower priced group is a comparable or better buy with the coupon, where the higher-priced group in not worth it to me.

So, you have to shop cautiously. I've never had any complaints with Amazon UK. I've always got things in the usual window (three-week-ish) and they've always arrived in good condition.

Shop carefully. You have the DVD set of the complete Charmed for $76 at DD before discount. On DD's storefront on Amazon they are selling it for $52 including shipping. A good deal but not 2 for 1.

Re: It's Another DeepDiscount 15% sale

Got off two big orders, including some pre-orders as well as the Vinegar Syndrome titles I was going to pick up in their sale.

a couple of The V-S titles came to about a $1 more than ordering them direct, but a couple were also pre-orders which wouldn't have been discounted at VS but were here, so I came out slightly ahead- unless the two mystery titles turn out to be something I'm interested in (doubtful).

But coming out ahead on the VS titles negates what I overpaid on a couple of Kino new releases that just showed up in their sale for significantly less. Just can't win.

Re: It's Another DeepDiscount 15% sale

Odd ...I pre-ordered "Wild At Heart", getting a good price with the coupon, but I was given a refund today because they're out of stock.

Note: It's been said elsewhere that the title has been delayed until August due to a glitch (from "Shout!"? What a shocker!). Or maybe not, since some say their copies were sent out and Shout! has already put a replacement program in place (they're very good about that, at least).

Re: It's Another DeepDiscount 15% sale

I had preordered Wild at Heart during the previous 15% coupon sale. That order is still pending. I have no idea how that will turn out with the info y'all provided.

This time around, I preordered the complete Masters of Sex on Blu for what seems like an already good new release price of $44.01 (MSRP $69.98). $37.40 after coupon seems great considering the first two seasons separately run $28 pre-coupon at DD.

Update: Less than 24 hours after posting this, my Wild at Heart has now been canceled.
