Usually if you go to the COUPONS & DEALS header and click Musci and Movies filter there's a Box. I'm not sure why the actual Movies section doesn't always include the same information

I have always gotten my order from rarewaves. It might take a month or more, but that never bothers me. Best prices around and I eventually get my shipment.

Went back to my local B&N and picked up Girls Nite Out (1982) & Waterworld (1995).

Absolutely agree best prices…Thats cool u do not mind waiting, guess I might have been cool with the wait, but over the years I have used them, about 6 or 7 orders NEVER showed so I gave up. Customs???, their” shipping partners “ ??? whatever. You have to ask for tracking numbers, they do not provide them upon shipment and then some orders I had placed, accidentally didn’t get a tracking number! I seriously? quality control there??? Sorry but I have never had any of these issues with other overseas (UK especially) vendors have these issues! Just my experience there , and just wanted to let any folks thinking of ordering there for the first time… be prepared for not the smoothest experience from them. Would recommend “ Chalky’s” though- they have been great IMO

^ I think asianx may have a knack or thing for bad horror movies or can tolerate it when most can’t cuz I remembered him being excited when “The Driller Killer’s “ BD release was announced.

Here are my thoughts. It's the sort of thing where I completely understand any complaint anyone would have against Girls Nite Out yet I had a good time anyway. Maybe a second-tier slasher if you're being generous, probably third-tier. Doesn't deliver on the Joe Bob drive-in totals. Its stabs at comedy don't exactly make for a laugh riot. And yet I had fun with it regardless.

Is there any real advantage for a movie buyer to be a B&N member these days? I know they no longer give you the extra 10% off in-store purchases during the Criterion sale. Does that apply to these sales as well? No coupons as well?

They have an upgraded the plan now. Members get 10% off everything and earn "stamps." You get these stamps for every dollar spent and you get 10 stamps you get a $5 discount. You can stack them, as well. It also raises the membership price to $49.99 per year. It looks like they also changed up their pricing on general items like books. I bought a couple of books recently, when Amazon let me down. I ended up getting about $20 worth of stamp coupons that I used during the recent CC sale.

For those that are already members, they grandfather you in until your renewal date, so I'm good until January 2024 before they charge me the $49.99 going forward.

Should be $40 annually -- isn't it?

As to the other question -- I'm pretty sure anything 40% or more off will not qualify for the Member 10%, but does qualify for the Stamps deal.
Hopefully the double/triple stamps deal will be at least an occasional occurrence which made a major diff in the Criterion Sale though I'm suspecting that will probably only be a couple times special offer
to tempt people back into the Membership -- worked for me. Bought some 10% discounted GC at various reseller sites so I got that 10% on top of the triple stamps and 50% off. My BN package arrived faster than my Amazon Prime order I made a day later
so not much that Amazon can offer me. Used the Stamps earned from the 1st order to pay for much of a second order, with enough cash leftover to qualify for the extra $10 stamps bonus on that order too.

Is it $40? I don't remember. I will be using it during the Arrow sale, though. I have $5 off in stamps that I will be using. Yeah, triple stamps worked out great for me, as well.

Re: Arrow Films 50% Off Sale - Barnes & Noble

Thanks for the information. I didn't realize they updated the membership so much. I'll look into it. The nearest store is about 45 minutes from me, but there are some good restaurants nearby. I was hoping for some extra incentives to make the trip. I at least have the B&N credit card to give me a little something back.

Re: Arrow Films 50% Off Sale - Barnes & Noble

Thanks for the thread. Unfortunately, only 1 film of interest, & I already have a dvd of it. Especially because I'm hoping to move soon, I can't justify $17.50 + shipping & 10.3% sales tax for something I already have, I know a lot of folks here are into violent cult films (I'm not) & that seems to be the majority of what Arrow does.

Re: Arrow Films 50% Off Sale - Barnes & Noble

So I placed my order for 3 titles last week and the order is still stuck in "preparing shipment." Weird Science 4K is one of the titles, but the other 2 are in stock, so I find it weird that B&N is holding the order until all items are in stock. It never did this before, and I'm also a member of their book club. It's weird since they would always ship titles as they became/were available. Unless they stopped all of sudden when they started the new membership "stamps" thing.

Re: Arrow Films 50% Off Sale - Barnes & Noble

The closest B&N to where I live didn't have too much of a selection but luckily, they had most of the titles I was looking for.

Purchased:

The Game Trilogy (BD)
Running Out of Time 1 & 2 (BD)
