I placed my order on Aug 11 early morning.
No email shipping confirmation.
I checked my account and it says "PRODUCT NOT RESERVED: Stock Status subject to change Current Status: ON ORDER: Ships when stock arrives."

It looks like its out of stock. You can't buy it right now. It says "Unavailable and Notify Me".

my order history is now blank. no record that I ever ordered it. no back order. no CC charge. nothing. It is like I never did anything! I called customer service and they told me that they cancelled my order because they don't have the title in stock NOR DO THEY EXPECT TO CARRY IT IN THE FUTURE. They said they MIGHT get it in stock later.... they apologized and said they are refunding everyone the money who placed the order.

Just got off the phone with DVDEmpire.
They are cancelling ALL orders as "they never got the pre-release item in".

Live Chat went nowhere as rep apparently did not know how to respond and stopped chatting. I called customer service after receiving a 11 AM e-mail from DVDEmpire stating that the release date was changed to 8/23/2016 and my order was in place and would be processed normally.

Phoned customer service to ask and rep who answered was fairly hostile towards me (imho) who told me all orders are cancelled. No one will be getting this from the Empire.

Sad to see them so hostile towards folks just asking about their orders.

I don't know what to say to those who received shipping notices. Rep who was hostile to me basically said that those on DVDTalk who said they were getting this item were lying.

I've never had someone so hostile before about someone asking a question about an item they paid in advance for with PayPal.

I'm just angry about they way this was handled.

I don't have a tracking number or anything but I got at "billed and processing for shipment" email on 8/22, and if I log into their site, the order is still there in my order history and it says "Order Shipped Complete" on 8/22.

To me it sounds like they didn't realize how much they were selling it for until after they had completely shipped out their initial stock, and realizing that they still had many more orders pending at this price, they cancelled them, and are now feeding you this line of BS.

I just received an e-mail from them stating that my order was cancelled "Per Your Request".

I told both reps I wanted the item and that they had taken my money back on 8/10/2016.

Same story as Steve. My order was cancelled, and I didn't get any notification at all. Doesn't even show up in my order history. The only way I know for sure that it's cancelled is that I had the order info page in my browser history. I completely understand about my order being cancelled, but I'm not wild about the lack of communication, and I don't see a refund in my PayPal account pending or anything.

I just checked my order and it disappeared too. No email about the cancelation.
I looked at the "Cancelled Orders " section at the bottom and it says "CANCELLED" No backorders.
I'll wait until Amazon drop the price and order it there.

Checked today and order still appears in my history, marked as "Order Shipped Complete."

I'd say that's highly likely the case.

I have a tracking number for UPS Mail Innovations with a scheduled delivery date of 8/26. The total package weight is 0.2650 lb. which seems about right for a 2 disc set in a bubble mailer.

I'll update when it arrives.

I'm not a fan of what they've done here. Regardless of any price mistake, cancelling orders without notification and hostility to customers who pursue the issue are not good business practice. I won't be doing business with them again any time soon.

Mmmmm....

My order still exists and shows as 'Shipped', but when I try the tracking number I get a 'Not Found' from USPS (it was 'Processing' or something earlier). Time will tell I suppose; there'll be other opportunities if not.

I got that when I used the one in the tracking email they sent. The tracking number link in my order information worked properly. It's because they use UPS Mail Innovations and that tracking number in the email links to USPS instead of UPS Mail Innovations. The one in your account links to UPS Mail Innovations.

Sucks that some people are getting canceled. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones. Although my tracking info doesn't show anything moving yet (just the shipping label being created), my order still shows as shipped on the website.

I received the same one. Doubt I bother ordering from them again based on how they handled this with some customers.

Not surprised to see DVD Empire cancelling orders. They're really not in the habit of giving out deals. At least for non-porn stuff.

Looks like I'm one of the luck few who got their order. Mine arrived today and includes the slipcase.

I'm still somewhat puzzled as to why any went out at all since they apparently caught the price mistake well before the ship date.

I wonder if I'll get mine. I ordered fairly early (8/11), got my shipping notice, but no tracking number, and I'm still charged on PayPal. No cancellation notice via email or on my order status.

I got mine, but I had a tracking number. They typically send tracking in a another email after the billing email. I think they fulfilled with what stock they had.

Well guys, my order was cancelled

I never received an email with Tracking Info, but my CC was charged and the item was "shipped". I did a live chat with customer service, so the Rep told me there was a site problem with the item, and all open orders were canceled. She said my CC wasn't charged, which it was, and said she would pass the information along to her Manager to look into it.

The Rep was nice enough but bottom line, I never shopped the site before and never will again. I got TCM flashbacks with the Halloween Complete Collection fiasco a couple of years ago.

I had a leftover gift card from Best Buy so I just bought it there. Hopefully some of you guys got in on this deal.

Yeah, looking over the responses that came to mind as well (along with the Bond collection from a few years ago). I ended up skipping on this one, and I'm glad I did. I still get weekly emails from TCM, so I don't need to add another company to the list
