Unfortunately, those double pre auths are common. I have one from Pono at the moment. I have no idea why they feel a need to get 2 pre auths.

That has never happened to me before. But I never put much into this checking account. It's for my discretionary spending. I just try to refrain from using credit at all costs now after I was laid off a few years ago...I am debt averse. If I don't have the cash now, I don't need it...whatever "it" may be.

I don't like debt either which is why I pay off my credit cards each month. Plus I get 3 to 5% back depending on the card. And it is much safer using a credit card than a debit card.

Yeah, I understand how credit cards work... But had you experienced what I went through you would understand. This keeps me disciplined.

Exactly. Unless somebody is will power challenged, it's better to pay with CC's and pay off the full balance so one can get the perks. We never charge more than we can pay off each month and we basically pay for everything with a CC. Even our utility bills and groceries.

wow, didn't know Olive still produced slip covers on some titles (old stock perhaps ?) - 'Pursued' and 'A Double Life' arrived with slip covers !!

I received an immediate shipping notice on everything except Hollywood Shuffle. It was cancelled after a few days. Then I noticed it back in stock after another few days. I called and was able to get an order placed just for that title at the sale price. Kind of a PITA, but at least all four are en route.

Ended up sitting this one out. Three titles I wanted, but couldn't find a fourth. Almost got Breeders for the fourth; nice cover but the movie's a total POS and just couldn't pull the trigger.

I ended up buying two more BD's just as the sale was winding down, padded with another BD for free shipping. Aside from a handful of potential blind buys, I am largely back at square one with Olive, and very pleased. Now all we need is a similar sale on Kino products.
