Yes, that's when BD trumped HD-DVD as the prevailing HD format and distributors started dumping huge lots of DVDs into Big Lots.

Up here in Canada, on the other hand, I've sold a couple of these for well over $50 in the past year or so. In fact, most discs I buy in the U.S., even just to finally see them myself, sell at a profit up here (shipped from here, of course), but the U.S. market does appear to be saturated for the most part.

Re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals

Wanted to get Crimson Kimono, but in researching it I found the Indicator is noticeably better. Decided to toss the Sam Fuller set in with some pre-orders at AmazonUK.

Did pick up Gun Fury though, along with some Classic Flix titles I've been meaning to get.

I'll be waiting on Harry & Walter... to get down to at least $15 before I bite. Hopefully by then Gloria will be in the same sale for $19.95- or even better, announced as an upcoming Indicator release.

Re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals

Haven't a lot of the 19.95 titles been previously offered at 14.95 in past sales?

Re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals

Disappointing price points. Again.

If the $22.95's had been $19.95, and the $19.95's had been $14.95, I might have been tempted to drop $150-$200 and check off my entire wish list.

At these prices, I'll just keep biding my time.

TT is trying to re-calibrate people's notion of the value of these, after a couple years of semi-regular, more substantial discounting. That ship already sailed.

Not only that some of the $14.95 have been $9.95 in previous sales such as "Cowboy" and "Sense and Sensibilities". "Peyton Place", "Gun Fury", and "Baby Boom" are some titles that have been included in the 15 for $15 sales. Not every item has been cheaper before. On the other hand I don't believe The World of Henry Orient has ever been as cheap as $9.95 and is a great Peter Sellers film.

True that. Besides many of the $9.95 titles are part of the permanent (or so it seems) '7 for $70' sale making their price not exclusive to this sale but without the requirement of having to buy 7. So so sale at best but not the worst. My price point is $9.95 only and I have 7 items in my cart. Random TT titles of late have been available for under $15 on eBay making this even more not compelling for me

Picked up the last 2 3D titles from them, some cheap VP and the forum recommendation.

Re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals

Some of these prices are kinda laughable. I bought Scorpio for $9.95 a while ago and it's on sale frequently. There are some deals to be had. You just have to remember some of the price points.

Re: Twilight Time Blu-Ray Deals

I know this thread isn't as busy as some of the other forums' TT threads, but I'd heard a few days ago that Nick Redman was in the hospital. Today I heard that it was much more serious that had been first thought and he
died overnight. I always enjoyed his posts and commentaries plus the work he put in to make TT discs a thing.
