Nice prices, though I have never seen either movie. That is as cheap as I've ever seen Warner Archive BDs.

I've always wanted to see Pete Kelly's Blues, and I have it on DVD. Tempted by the price.

While I'd love to see them lower more of the Archive Blus to the $7 range, part of me doesn't want to see it since I've already bought all the ones I needed in the WBshop $10-$11 sales. Gotta check after work to see if one of them was Possessed, actually, so hopefully that price holds for a while longer.

PKB is now $12.49.
Amazon has actually changed the list price of Possessed to $7.49 so unless that's a mistake, it should stay in that range.

Weird. Can't imagine that being a permanent list price, but if it gets more folks to buy a pretty decent movie, all the better.

I went ahead and ordered Possessed. I'm thinking Amazon will do a price correction. Kinda weird this title would be the only title that isn't over $10 from the Warner Archive series.

Sorry, I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote that - I meant that there IS a mobile app supported by Bluray.com and its called 'My Movies by Bluray.com' (I use the Android version). Been using it for a while now. Takes a few seconds to pull up your newly purchased BD title on Bluray.com, add it to your collection by using the button underneath the thumbnail image of the movie cover and sync it with your mobile app. That's how I quickly find out if I already have a title - am going about 1650 titles and definitely need it.

I understand about owning the better quality version, but if your goal is to merely watch the movie (as seems to be the case in the first post quoted above), then that can be done by watching the DVD you already own. If your goal is to see the movie in the best possible quality the first time that you watch it, then I kinda sorta see your point.

I would nab Possesed if it wasn't for shipping & sales tax (I have the official dvd). The $6.99 would cost me $11.64

I agree with this. I had to just bite the bullet and join Prime. At $50 for free shipping, it was either take a bullet in the head, or live to die another day.

I won't deny the benefits of Prime for those who prefer to order whatever, whenever, without worrying about shipping, and I'm likewise not denying that not everyone cares to blow $49 they might not have laying around just to get a $6.99 bargain like this one -- but having several hundred items "saved for later" in my cart since 2004 (!), I can virtually always put together enough "wanted/needed" items, sooner or later, at lowest or near-lowest prices to justify placing an order. Even the "Prime Members Only" deals -- as far as they relate to items I've saved for later and can physically monitor in my cart -- start out as, or eventually become, deals for everyone. (I do find it interesting, however, that Amazon Canada's shipping threshold is still just $25).
Basically, 'Save For Later' semi-replaced my wishlists years ago, so for me (and presumably others who ) it's still worth looking at Amazon's media deals without Prime. I only miss out when I procrastinate too long (about the true need for something), stay away from a computer for too long and never know there's a deal in the first place, or when an item suddenly goes OOP and prices climb, something that I'm sure stymies all of us on occasion.
I acknowledge that this method won't work for everyone. But likewise Prime isn't necessary for everyone either.

What really gets me is Sales tax if I buy from Amazon direct, & no combined shipping if i buy from 3rd parties or under $50 from Amazon. I get hit with just under 10% sales tax buying from Amazon directly.
