Vinegar Syndrome - Subscriber Week Sale

Today's $10 titles:

Last Gasp
Rush Week
Good Luck, Miss Wyckoff
Trauma (Dario Argento!)
Whatever It Takes
Two Lottery Tickets / A Month in Thailand
Minor Premise
Green Jello Suxx Live

...and two Peekarama titles, but I'm not sure if it's kosher to link to those here. At least some of these include slipcovers, like Rush Week and Trauma.

Another round of $10 titles will pop up tomorrow at 12:01 PM Eastern, through January 7th.

I grabbed Whatever It Takes and Last Gasp. I already own Rush Week and can’t in good conscience recommend it to anyone.

Re: Vinegar Syndrome -- Black Friday Sale

Dang, missed it. In the first few minutes of the sale a bunch of the 10 for 10's were ringing up like $3.75 but I just meandered a bit too much and they all updated in my cart.

Picked up Trauma (1993)

Is it safe to say that Vinegar Syndrome won't be shipping out titles until after Subscriber Week is over?

That means, the "add to existing order" option when waiting for these new titles to appear would work?

4 movies I paid way more than $10 for in today's batch. This should be a fun an annoying little game all week.

With 'Add to my existing order', if the total ends up being at least $100 will they apply free shipping? Not a deal breaker, just curious.

Picked up Fear, Alien From LA, Through The Fire & Amityville next Generation. The first three have been on my list for a while. This sale is great.

Usually their big sales (Black Friday, Halfway to Black Friday) never have a free shipping option. Since this is the first time they're doing this sale, one really can't say for sure, but if I were to make a bet I'd say no.

Added Alien From L.A. (1988) & Fear (1995) to my existing order.

Now to figure out how to keep checking the 10 for $10 page after I return to work this week

re: Vinegar Syndrome - Subscriber Week Sale

I remember a buddy of mine calling me asking why the Vinegar Syndrome site had been down for so long (it was not a post sale period).

Friend: I keep checking with my phone and it's down.
Me: You at work?
Friend: Yeah...
Me: Using company wi-fi?
Friend: Yeah...
Me: That's the problem right there.

I'm a teacher and the refresh on the 10 for $10 overlaps with my Homeroom hour

These titles have been lasting for quite a while after they are put up right?

Ugh. I have a few of today’s titles and the subscription in my cart. Pondering. Never spent a grand in one shot on movies before, but probably end up spending a few hundred to get just a dozen or so of their yearly titles most years anyway….

That's been the case the first two days, yes.

Maybe asianxcore can check my math since he's a teacher an all, but a few hundred is still less than a grand if I'm doing that right. I drop several hundred on VS titles over the course of the year, and I've had people say "Why don't you subscribe then???" But the $3-400 I spend per year is still way less than a $980 subscription.

True, but I usually want almost everything in the sub package, so this would be a slight savings or at least more slips than if I waited for sales. Plus the fun of ten slightly mystery boxes this year….
But yeah, I should skip it.

I believe Whatever It Takes “sold out” after half the day. I’m assuming there’s a specific allotment for each title that they’ll let go for $10.
There’s only 154 left of the Fear in case anyone is on the fence.

This happened again today and while they surely have it fixed by this point I am going to be in in the first few second tomorrow just in case.

re: Vinegar Syndrome - Subscriber Week Sale

So far I've managed 3 days with just one movie in my order, and it's not even a $10 title (FYI, it's Alley Cat, which I'm sure I've said I wouldn't buy based on the clip they included in the product description, but then it sold out only to reappear on the "previously sold out" section and I got fomo). If it continues this way I might add in the Made in Hong Kong box on the final day

re: Vinegar Syndrome - Subscriber Week Sale

The last few sales, I was always struck my Shallow Grave's artwork. It seems to get recommended enough. For $10, I'll give it a shot.

I curious about Blood on Her Name...

I've been tempted to get Alley Cat as well due to FOMO. But, I watched it on Prime last year and didn't think too much of it. And I see there is a German UHD out for about the same price of the VS Blu.
