Re: 4K / Ultra HD Blu-ray: Discounts and deals

I picked up the Tremors set from their ebay store. I forced myself to show restraint on ordering anything else after spending quite a bit over the last few weeks.

Lots of 4K's under 10$ on Amazon:

https://www.blu-ray.com/deals/?sortb...egory=4kbluray

Take note, 1917 4K is not available for $7.99 on Amazon anymore. You can still get it at that price on Best Buy, though.

Re: 4K / Ultra HD Blu-ray: Discounts and deals

Stopped by two different Walmart B&Ms in my area this evening.

I know they weren't offering much in terms of 4K UHDs but was hoping to find a copy of Rise of Skywalker, which neither store had.

A lot of the 4K UHDs were picked over but both stores combined had a decent amount of what they were offering in general.

Ended up picking up a bunch of 4K UHDs that were on-sale at a Best Buy nearby.

Picked up:

John Wick
John Wick: Chapter 2
John Wick: Chapter 3 - Parabellum
A Quiet Place
Ad Astra
The Gentlemen

Ad Astra 4K wasn't a part of the Black Friday Ads at Best Buy but it finally dropped to a price I wanted to pick it up at.

Ad Astra actually is part of the Best Buy BF list. You can check the full list of titles in the BF spreadsheet linked in the Wiki post of the Best Buy BF thread.

Overlord is now $7.99 on Amazon. At this rate, I can probably pick up most of what I want for that price. All of a sudden $12.99 seems a lot more expensive.

Ah ok, that makes sense. Glad I picked it up then!

So happy that Beetlejuice & District 9 were both $9.99 at Best Buy.

Picked them up this evening. Glad I waited on buying both initially.

So much for that. Took a week to receive a notice that my order was cancelled. Reason given was that product was out of stock.

FYI, this set is sold out everywhere except Best Buy. This was marketed as a "Limited Edition" so this might be a case of another 4K Sony set that truly is limited, like the Columbia Classics Vol. 1 and Ghostbusters 2-film Steelbook. If you're interested in this set at all, Best Buy might be your last chance to get it at retail prices (and $55 was the cheapest it was at anywhere).

Harry Potter 4K 8-film collection for $72.99 at Amazon for Black Friday. Lowest price ever, I think.

I wasn't going to get it now because I already spent so much money, but now you scared me so I just ordered it. At least it's a decent price at less than $10 a movie.

Quite a few Warner Bros. and Sony/Columbia 4K lose their digital codes after a few years.
If missing them determines what you are willing to pay for a film look closely at the listing on Amazon or
wherever you purchase from. If you use bluray, com to check prices, the picture on bluray.com might
show the package includes a digital code but Amazon's picture of what they are selling does not
say " Digital Code" Some Sony/Columbia films that no longer come with the code , "Stand By Me", "The Natural". and "Glory"
Some Warner Bros include Wonder Woman, and the individual films of "The Dark Knight Trilogy"

Re: 4K / Ultra HD Blu-ray: Discounts and deals

I just broke open my Dark Knight 4K movies to watch in my new home theater. I entered the digital copies for the first and third movies successfully. The second digital copy sheet was blank where the code should be. I emailed wb support for a new code and was denied since it was past the expiration date. They claimed there was no way for them to generate a new code for me.

You might try finding another email to send that same request to.

Or complain on Twitter and include @WarnerHomeVideo and @WBHomeEnt . Companies seem much more responsive to complaints/issues when they're public.

I PM'ed you my digital copy code just in case. It's technically expired, but sometimes those will redeem anyway.

All these 4Ks dropping under $10, but there's the fucking Matrix still sitting at $25 all month. Ridiculous.

I'd pay the $15 each for the other 2, but $25 for the original is bullshit.

I imagine we'll see more deals for it when the new Matrix comes out.

Best Buy has a flash sale on the Star Wars box set: $169.99. Still more expensive than if you bought the movies individually during the $15 BF sales, but itís the lowest price yet for the collection.

Is this set limited?
