I picked up Incredibles 2. Too bad the steelbook for the first one is already sold out, I like having series in the same format.

Target has an online offer of 15% off select 4K movies through May 30.

The Star Wars 4Ks are 23.99 today, meaning the 15% off brings them down to 20.39 each.

The Disney Steelbooks are still available at Sale Price ( Sunday Price ).. usually this has been a Sunday DOTD.

Picked up Black Panther yesterday. Was on my wish list Did not mind the $14.99 price I don't have the movie in any format so not double dipping like so many of my other purchases.

Ip Man The Finale has dropped to $18.15 on Amazon. It’s been in the $30 range since it came out.

Yeah, pretty much in line with every other blu release. Even the Hong Kong ones, which I have.

No digital on CooS....think we'll start seeing more of that absence? Browsed some other titles and saw that the newest release of Into the SpiderVerse doesn't have digital code either, whereas the version I bought last year does.

No. "Color Out of Space" was released by a smaller company called RLJ Entertainment. They don't include digital copies with any of their releases. So this isn't indicative of a trend.

It's not really a "newest release," but a later pressing (same UPC), but without the digital code slip. I've seen WB do this with some later pressings of their Blu-rays.

This is actually more likely to become more common, that studios will strip out a digital copy on later pressings when they drop the prices.

I think the days of all copies getting digital copies are over. Studios like WB understand the digital copies have their own value and why give it away to someone buying the UHD?

Because it's "premium" product? To convince you to buy the UHD? Because if they start doing that it might crush the UHD market? Plus the code is a taste of the digital side, which I believe is even more profitable than discs. Think of it as a drug dealer giving a taste of the product.

Studios are pretty stupid though when it comes to technology: they should have eliminated DVD to force BD adoption, they add DNR to UHD releases when they know UHD buyers hate it because apparently it isn't the marketing department's job to know what customers want and communicate that to the production side, and things like cartoon HDR grading proves studio QA departments are all too often either nonexistent or incompetent.

Thanks for the heads up!

Looks like about 300 4K titles on Target's website fall under that Promotion. Not sure how long it lasts.

Also it's no longer available for online order to my zipcode. My local store has it but not available for pickup and the coupon only works for online orders...
