Dark Crystal 4K Steelbook promotion with $5 Best Buy rewards credit. A reasonable price for a nice looking steelbook.

I'm not sure if it was mentioned, but it looks like
Amazon's 3 for $49.99 UHD Sale Amazon's 3 for $49.99 UHD Sale
has been refreshed with some new titles like Mother!, Interstellar, Transformers, Cloverfield, etc.

Re: 4K / Ultra HD Blu-ray: Discounts and deals

The Star Trek films are also new additions. Others that I think are new: Da Vinci Code/Inferno/Angels & Demons, Resident Evil(s), Hancock, Arrival, Ghost in the Shell, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, Allied, Baywatch, Underworld, XXX, TMNT... maybe Jupiter Ascending, Tarzan.

I've been tracking, as I got a 4k player after the New Year, and haven't run into all that many sales. Hoping these 4k forums get a bit more active in the coming months!

Do Disney 4K go on sale often? I really want Coco, and it seems the cheapest is $27.99 but I’d be willing to wait a few months if they typically go on sale.

I wouldn’t wait until Black Friday though.

Give it a little time and try eBay. The UHD BD of Cars III is all over eBay brand new for under $20 (even $16-$17) shipped from reputable sellers, and I'm sure it'll be the same story with Coco before too much longer.

Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Pirates 5 were both $15 for 4k for Black Friday 2017. I haven't seen Disney titles at or near that otherwise through normal retail channels.

Men in Black Trilogy 4K Steelbook is Best Buy deal of the day, $32.99 for 3 movies. Hate the steelbook artwork, but like the price, so I ordered it.

I hate steelbooks. Almost guaranteed that's another shitty case with overlapping discs. Why the fuck are steelbooks with Viva Elite style internals so goddamn rare!? The only one I've ever owned with proper internals was Perfect Dark Zero (Xbox 360).

I'd get this, but that's the main reason why I won't. Yeah, it's a silly reason, but I can't stand any of that PopArt crap.

Some pop art isn't so awful (Fifth Element to name one)...but this one is pretty much at the top of the heap when it comes to bad steelbook art. I rewatched the first one semi-recently because I was thinking about the 4k and to be honest just doesn't hold up as much as it used to. So *shrug*, I'm selling my blus.

Probably not cheap enough for you but Coco 4K is $24.99 at Amazon for Prime members only. And it's also temporarily out of stock. I was holding out but I bit at that price. Plus I finally got the $1 digital credit for slow shipping, enough with the damn Pantry credits!

Disney animations such as Cars3 have been $10 on BF- that includes BD+DVD+DC. DVD can be used as portable media when traveling. So it is hard to pay up $28 just to get 4K (+BD) . ( and no DVD ). In these animation BD quality is really good. So Buy BD now and hope / wait for some real price drop in the future

Cars 3 was actually $7 on BF at Walmart, that's when I picked up my copy. I can live without the 4K version at that price.

If you don't mind waiting again until BF, it's almost guaranteed Coco will be $10 or less during that time.

I went ahead and bit. The dvd does nothing for me. I can put the digital copy on my iPad and play it on the RES in my car for my son.

Re: 4K / Ultra HD Blu-ray: Discounts and deals

I bit at Coco 4K for $24.99. I was thinking of adding in with a Disney Movie Club order in the future, but this is good enough for now. Is there any news about Cars 3 digital copy getting upgraded to 4k? I'm holding off entering that code until I know for sure.

Re: 4K / Ultra HD Blu-ray: Discounts and deals

According to the High Def Digest review, the digital copy is UHD on VUDU. Not sure if anyone here can verify.

I’m hoping one day iTunes will upgrade as well.

Edit: sorry, read your post wrong, thought you were holding off redeeming Coco until you know.

Wow! Will be nice to have some of those titles at reasonable prices. I don't think Blade Runner 2049 has moved from $30.

Re: 4K / Ultra HD Blu-ray: Discounts and deals

Yeah, the inclusion of Blade Runner 2049 definitely pushed me over the top in a way that Amazon's more extensive sale never quite managed. If Amazon adjusts their sale in the process, though, I'd be okay with that since I have so many GCs burning a hole in my pocket.

Nice! I bought all the Batman titles already from Amazon but struggled to find other movies I wanted to pair with Inception.

Although the ending of this movie has been criticized as being lackluster, I like Scarlett and I like sci-fi. The visuals on this look fantastic in 4K

If the Warner 3-for-$50 at Best Buy weren't enough:

-Furious 7
-The Girl on the Train
-The Great Wall
-King Kong

-Straight Outta Compton
-Warcraft
...although that really isn't much of a deal for most of those titles.
