A lot of 88Films just dropped in price over at AmazonUK - are any of their superior to their US versions, or worthy of picking up on their own? --Peter

To anyone who ordered from the Severin Films Black Friday Sale, did everyone get The Stunt Man (1980) as their free title?

Damn, I hope not, I bought that one during one of their previous sales. Are people already getting their orders? Nothing yet for me.

I'm not sure if they are going in order but I ordered on 11/24/17 and received my order yesterday, 12/3/17.

I received email updates when the order was ready to ship.

I also ordered on the 24th but I got that Jack the Ripper and I pushed it so my order was over $200 to get the mystery freebie.

Also I did notice someone on that other forum got Stuntman as their bonus title, unless that is you too.

Lots of great stuff on sale at Arrow - lots of titles I haven't seen offered in past sales or this cheap. Most are Region B, but some are Region Free.

Does anyone have a list of the Region A or Region Free offerings? Thanks.

I have a slightly similar question: I can play Region B, but have December 2012 firmware (which I will not be updating). I have some interest in a Woody Allen box or 2.

My player would not play the USA Midnight in Paris blu due to copyguard issues. The only other disc it's ever had issue with (same issue) was the USA Frida.

Does anyone have any clue which copyguards Arrow is using on the Allen sets (& in general)? I'd hate to spend that kind of coin & have them not play!
I didn't have any playability issues with my last Arrow order, but it was mostly classic films if I remember right.

Oops, they've got a bunch of Fassbinders at 7.50. I have the dvd's, but if these are upgrades, it's awfully tempting. Also a couple Veronica Lakes I have on dvd.

Just the Fassbinders & the 2 in stock Lake's come to $100 USD shipped. Great per piece price; but I really need to think on how dumb it would be to spend $100 on films I already have............

What brand is your player? I have a Panasonic and I can make it Region B compataible (at least with Arrow locked BD's) with a simple button combo.

I'm concerned with copyguards, NOT with region. I have a region free Oppo BDP-95 with Dec 2012 Firmware

I don't know the answer, but suggest you just email them. Their customer service is quite good. As a small label, I doubt copy controls are foremost on their mind. Asking "I bought xxx which plays fine, can you tell me if your encryption/copy guards varies for other BD's?" should elicit the right response.

Arrow wrote back & said the copyguards would be unlikely not be an issue. Unfortunately I just ran into $300 of unexpected expenses, so will probably not be able to order. I would like those Fassbinders in blu! Wish I would have known about the box set before it sold out.

Does anyone know what day the Arrow sale ends? I am wrestling with lack of money on 1 hand, & 4 sales I want to indulge in on the other!

Amazon is selling Flicker Alley's The Lost World for $19.49. Really doubt it's going to get cheaper:
